A prequel to "Much More Than Life," "Consequence Free" follows the life of Marshall Connelly as he's forced to become breadwinner for he and his brother Louis after their father walks out on the two of them. Once spending his days running truant with his friends, Marshall is forced to become the responsible disciplinarian in order to give him and his brother a better life.

Louis Connelly has finally found his love, Lyla Novacek. Lyla has finally found her son after recently discovering that he was actually alive for all those years. Their lives are about to change drastically. This is my interpretation of what happened at the concert in the park and everything after.

Only this time the trio has to travel with a ragtag group of orphaned musical talented kids lead by an old man. Will this end well?

A newly reforged family goes on a musical shopping trip.

Instead of lying Evan's grandfather does nothing. When Lyla wakes up and finds out she's had him she names him Evan. Evan grows up to be just as much of a musical genius as he did in the movie but he's missing one thing. A father. But not just any father he wants his father. So he goes on a journey to find his father. Will he find him?

Probably the first crack fic for August Rush—a movie that strangely does not lend well to these things. Let's just say that the arch sequence didn't exactly start off that well.

Louis had a feeling that something was wrong with the young musician August. The only thing he could think of to do was give the boy his phone number and go to his concert. Lyla really was on her honeymoon.
