This is my take on the motives behind Lex Luthor. We know intrinsically that he is wrong, and yet perhaps in this we can relate to him. We have all met someone who works half as hard as us and yet seems to be twice as talented, and often times we hate them for this even if they are good people. It is this inherent unfairness that I believe drives Luthor and steals his happiness.
