I adored Ham Atom's story so much and was heartbroken with the cliff hanger. I literally couldn't bear it. I've never written anything before so many many apologies if adding to someone else's work is rude or inappropriate. I mean no disrespect and my effort is borne of admiration for Ham's beautiful story. It gave me so much joy to read.

Isabeau treasured every second of each awakening; never missed a single sunrise. A single sunset. They were precious reminders, now, of the time she had lost to a curse she could not control. They were happy... except for the fact that something was very much missing... someone. (Isabeau/Navarre/Philippe, post-canon, hurt-comfort, caretaking, snowed in)

After everything that happened, Navarre would have thought settling down with his beloved and their young friend would be easy. At some point he must realize he's not suited for optimism. A post-movie story of family, adoption, guilt, redemption, danger, trials, and love.

Basically, this is just another different ending to the movie Ladyhawke. I wrote it as an English assignment and it's my first Fanfiction. It's a one shot.

The movie never clarifies, but I don't think the curse came with a full explanation of cause and effect. Imagine the horror of those first transformations, then, the physical agony compounded by the disorientation of not knowing what is going on ...

The bishop died as he had lived, a black magician, and he has made a new contract with the devil. After being stabbed by Navarre he casts yet another spell with his last breath, a spell more depraved than his first.

Life didn't automatically become perfect after the curse was broken, but they were finally together again.
