For his friend's sake, Richard stands as the best man at Asbel's wedding, wishing things could have turned out differently between them. As for Asbel: his life seems idyllic. He's married to the woman he loves, fulfilling his role as Lord of Lhant. Yet he begins to wonder how, despite his efforts, he's ended up living the exact life his father wanted for him. Richard/Asbel.

Spoilers! Based during Future Arc! Asbel had a nightmare about the things he's concerned about. How can Richard help him out?

Mending socks wasn't the same as mending the holes in their friendship, and as far as Cheria knew, Asbel was supposed to be adept at neither.

On the rare occasion time allowed, Richard and Asbel would spend a weekend together away from the city to catch up. After an unplanned run in with a violent peepit that sent Asbel tumbling down a hill, this trip didn't go exactly as planned.

Richard was determined, even desperate, to make up for his months away from his kingdom. He set out with good intentions on the missions to exterminate the monsters plaguing the continent. Asbel was more than willing to help, but some felt that he king's actions were becoming more reckless than heroic.

[AU] Asbel was too soft-hearted for a vampire hunter. It didn't help that Richard was a very unusual vampire.

Asbel reflects on a chocolate-coated lesson, and peaceful times in life.
