Mycroft Holmes is neither a drunk nor a stupid man. How then did he blow six months of a secret relationship in one moment of alcohol-induced bad judgement? More importantly, how can he erase the memories of the entire London-based British Secret Service regarding his behavior on one particular Monday morning?

Sherlock AU. Sherlock is six years old when he survives the crash that kills his parents. Now mute and suffering in the aftermath, Sherlock is taken under the wing of Gregory Lestrade, a foster parent with a focus on special cases, and his current ward John Watson. Will John be able to help Sherlock find his voice again?

Mycroft is missing! Car gone, no note! Could he have died! Fortunately for him, when Sherlock is curious and Lestrade is worried, nothing gets in their way. (WARNING: Torturing scene in later chapter!)
