In one universe, Pyra sharing her lifeforce with Rex lead to them being tied to mortality together, able to feel each others pain and location, but that was it. In another, it lead to the Driver of the Aegis gaining the same powers as the Blade he bonded with. Now the fate of Alrest lies on the shoulders of one afraid of her powers and the other learning how to use his.

This is a rewrite/redo of a story done a few months back, I hope you enjoy what I had revised. It had been nearly 500 years since the Aegis War had threatened Alrest. The Great Hero, Addam Origo, and the Aegis, Malos, The All Knowing, have prevailed, and the world had evolved after the battle left quakes through the world.
