[Pre-Transitions Bonus Story] Technically this story is still set in my Transitions Universe, but it's way back in Season 1 of the show. It was written for the prompt "Donna learns that Josh has always known how to tie his own tie." I don't plan to do many of these, but this was for my friends and posted on AO3 last week. I was asked to post it here as well. I hope you enjoy!

This is my take on episodes 5x21 (Gaza) and 5x22 (Memorial Day). It follows Josh as he flies to Germany to see Donna after the attack, but I have added a few scenes that I think could have/should have happened, even though we didn't see them.

Leo hasn't properly spoken to his youngst daughter in 2 years when she did work experience on the John Hoynes' presidential campaign while at college & left the campaign in a cloud of humiliation after her thesis was outed in the press as an attack of democracy. At least that's what Leo thinks. The truth is a little more murky & her return might create a scandal at the worst time

Donna reveals old pieces of herself to Josh

Josh is writing his book and telling about his story and job in the White House. Also, is Josh going to be Chief of Staff again?

AU where Josh, Sam, Donna, CJ, Toby and Amy all meet when they start law school together. They each dream of going into government one day, but they have to make it through 1L before they can get there! Over the course of their academic pursuits, their friendships (and relationships) evolve.

[Transitions Universe Bonus Story] Donna reflects on Josh's 60th birthday

When a serious accident threatens the lives of two members of the Bartlet family, it puts everything in perspective and leads to important decisions for Jed and Abbey as they recover from the aftermath. Part 17 of the Snapshots of the Past series.

Sam's life changed forever when Ainsley Hayes, the future first female POTUS, kicked his a** on National TV. Teaser: "Well if that isn't the biggest pile of bushwa I've ever smelled." Six pairs of shocked eyes turned to Mrs. Landingham.

Donna sends emails back and forth with her dad starting from "The Stackhouse Fillibuster" and up to the series finale on how her life at the White House is going. Slightly AU as Josh and Donna are secretly married since just after ITSOTG and close to "The Midterms". Rated T.
