Jessica Snow had an interesting upbringing with her father, a feared assassin, the first 17 years of her life. Her entire life is turned upside down, however, when her father receives a phone call asking him to take out one Erik Destler. Unable, and unwilling to forgive, a woman struggles with tremendous loss in life while her faith is more than just tested. When Christine suddenly has to play the ironic Carmen, she realizes that she doesn't know much about the exotic passion that the role requires. So she turns to La Sorelli for advice.

But her father died and now Christine is alone with the island's existing resident. It is easier to not remember her past life, as she learns to survive, and learns Erik, and he learns her in turn.

After leaving Iran, running for his life, Erik has no choice but to turn to the U.S. for clemency. The FBI is willing to offer it, under one condition: Erik, and Nadir, must uncover the latest threat to national security.
