A glimpse into the life of Dennis and Jenny Merton after they left Ashfordly, to seek medical help for Jenny's mental illness.

The Ashfordly Constabulary are searching for a young boy who has run away from his school. PCs Rowan and Bellamy are less than impressed to be taken off the search by Division to carry out a routine duty which becomes anything but when they are caught in a raging snowstorm.

John Riley's heavy drinking causes problems for the local constabulary, the Aidensfield community and especially his wife and young family. But when he loses his job and is threatened with losing his home and family John takes a drastic step with serious consequences for PC Nick Rowan.

Life as a sergeant isn't what Nick expected it to be so he and Jo begin to plan for a trip abroad, to start all over again. However, while trying to sort out a series of antique thefts Nick and Mike get into serious trouble.

Kate's death has repercussions for all those she left behind. Nick's anger is driving away his closest family and friends and at the same time he is having trouble forming a bond with his daughter. Just as it seems nothing can be done a dramatic incident serves to show Nick that life can go on and he does have something left to live for.

The North Riding Constabulary are on high alert with the news an armed, and dangerous, suspect is heading their way. Events spiral out of control when a case of mistaken identity exposes PCs Rowan and Bellamy to a terrifying ordeal.

Nick and Kate have finally managed to settle their disagreements and begin to look forward to having their baby. Unfortunately there will be nothing peaceful and quiet in store for them as Nick gets into trouble as a direct result of helping out with a CID operation. Will Kate be able to cope with what's in store for her and will Nick be strong enough to survive?

Big changes are in the air for Nick and Kate. Kate is committed to establishing a successful practice with James Radcliffe in Whitby and her time away from home is causing tension. Then Kate discovers she is pregnant. James urges her to tell Nick but Kate finds herself unable to do so. Things come to a head when Kate mysteriously disappears. Reviews appreciated x

When a teenager vanishes the police think she has run away. But Kate thinks they have made assumptions and this leads to tension between herself and Nick over the handling of the case.

Lenny Tomlinson losing his job sparks off a sequence of events that turns a routine shift into one of Ashfordly Constabulary's darkest days.

Kate and Nick are planning a nice and quiet evening by the fire but a traffic accident rudely interrupts their plans. Nick is injured while helping out and Kate is worried that there is more to it than he lets on.

The Ashfordly Constabulary are targeted by a series of mystery attacks all centred around Aidensfield. When things progress from smashed car windows to a direct attack on one of their own, the officers are under pressure to find the perpetrator. Who could be responsible and why?

A hill farmer is the target of a vendetta but by whom? Before the police can find an answer events take a serious turn and Nick Rowan is caught in the crossfire.

We hear virtually nothing about Maggie Bolton's life prior to her arrival in Aidensfield, so this is my take on what her life might have been like before she arrived in the village.
