What begins as an open-and-shut investigation of a CyberLife suicide in the late hours of the night, quickly spirals into a tangled web of murder, intrigue, espionage, and a deep dive into what it really means to be alive. Like a piece of driftwood in a hurricane, Connor, Hank, and everyone else have to learn to navigate something much bigger than themselves—or die.

Connor stops mid-sentence, head canted to the side, and Hank just knows he's analyzing him through those shrew-narrowed eyes. Major spoilers for Connor's story in Detroit become human. An unintended software update becomes active and allows advanced models of androids to enter a type of reproductive cycle and grow new life inside of their bodies like a pregnant human would.
