As Connor learns to navigate his newfound humanity and his confusing relationship with Lieutenant Hank Anderson, a rash of android suicides sets the city ablaze and a new menace emerges: A killer by the name of Kairos who vows to destroy all deviants.

RA9 does more than free them, it changes them into who they really are in their Soul, and Connor is no exception to it's evolution. The alteration he receives isn't what he quite expected, though.

It wasn't enough time. He had a week left. Connor hasn't had enough time. He only had a week left. He still wanted to solve cases, play with Sumo, tend and build up his aquarium. He still wanted to quip with Hank, spar with North, debate with Josh, laugh with Simon, be around Markus. His LED flashes an alarming crimson, illuminating the right side of his face in a deathly glow.

A chance to change the flow of time allows Connor to spare his friend, Lt. Hank Anderson, the worst pain of his life. In doing so he creates a chain of events that prove their partnership and their friendship is beyond coincidence or happenstance. The duo were destined to become friends, and as a result, a true family in the end as Cole gets the chance to grow up.

Connor's smile twitches into a smirk. "You would shoot an unarmed opponent? Seems pretty incongruous with your precious empathy, Lieutenant."

A damaged RK800 "Connor" model is repurposed as a bodyguard for a secretive foundation in Chicago. Connor is tasked with protecting his human charge from outside dangers, but it may be the inner demons that prove the most deadly. Hank dreams about Cole, but is later brought back into reality.

Hello, quite a short chapter this time but I'm not into writing just for word counting. Bigger chapters are coming, don't worry (also just came back from resting, the fic will slowly resume :) )

Lt. Anderson confirms a shocking realization about Connor.

Iris didn't want to move back to Detroit. She hated the idea of moving back with her dad, but her damned empathy couldn't leave him to deal with newfound paraplegia alone. Then her dad's old friend added an android to the mix. Leo's addiction skyrocketed. Tensions rose through the Manfred mansion. To make matters worse? Now Iris is part of a goddamn revolution. Markus/OC. Peaceful!

Gavin Reed had a problem. It was six feet tall, smiled like a shark and held no qualms about picking his locks. It also wanted Gavin to give lessons on how not to piss people off.
