Kitty Russell is forced at gunpoint by unstable Jeremiah Leech to take him to his ex-son-in-law. Leech is obsessed that Radford has a new life and family and his daughter, Radford's late wife, is no longer alive. In a dramatic showdown realizing Kitty has taken him nowhere near his destination they struggled and a shot goes off. Matt Dillon is desperately searches for Kitty.

He's no Matt Dillon. Chapters 1 and 2 are told from the deputy's first-person present tense point of view, and Chapter 3 the omniscient past tense POV.

No one gets away from their pasts. Not even Matt Dillon. Especially sins of omission. Hang on for the ride and give it a chance. A review/note would be nice. It's a breadcrumb that writers follow to lead them to the end of the story.

This story is set in Season 19 into Season 20. Kitty and Matt have a serious disagreement precipitated by the presence of old flames. Neither is ready to calmly discuss what is happening. Each one thinks the other is being unreasonable. Kitty decides she has to leave for a while to clear her head. She disappears and Matt must try to track her down after a terrible accident.

Matt, Chester and Doc protect Kitty from an aggressive admirer, and Doc devises a plan to save a mentally ill man from a prison sentence.

An old flame comes back in town to claim Matt Dillon as her man once again but she realizes how difficult it'll be when she meets Kitty Russell. The woman who stole Matt Dillons heart.

This is what I think happen after the court scene in Season 13 Baker's Dozen and the ending.
