Ennis's daily job of herding sheep and being with Jack had settled down to a sweet routine. We all remember the original BBM story and how Ennis world was rocked when Joe said to, "Bring em down." Later came that question, "Ya thinkin of doin this again next Summer? Followed by the gut-wrenching departure with Ennis alone in the dust. What-if they didn't go their separate ways?

They parted ways, but things have a funny way of righting themselves.

Junior has a not quite fight with her mother that fuels in her a need to know the truth behind her parents' divorce. The only person she thinks might tell her is her father's best friend, so she gives him a call. From there, everything changes.

Ennis receives a note from Jack stating that he will be alone for Thanksgiving up at his parents ranch. It has been several months since they last seen each other, Ennis finds it difficult to decline the man's invitation.

Ennis Del Mar writes a final letter to Jack Twist after his lover s death. He has travelled to Brokeback and reminisces on his time with Jack and how the loss has affected him. Ennis/Jack.

Their story is out and everyone is going to know their secret. Ennis must find a safe place for the two of them to go - as soon as Jack gets out of jail.

What if Jack Twist never really died? What if he couldn't remember anything? Ennis must help Jack remember what happened. But is the truth more painful than the lie? Which will give Ennis and Jack their happy ever after and which will destroy them forever?

When they get down from the mountain, Ennis struggles with the decision he has to make. *Although it was completely heartbreaking, I am really happy with the way the story and movie ended and I would not change anything if I could. I just like imagining what it could have been like if the story had gone in a different direction.
