S2, A/U, a 'What if' Character 'death', one-shot

This story is a spin on episode 4x09, after Rick and Carl have to abandon their home and believe everyone they love is dead. Michonne has been alone for months and never met Andrea. Can the emotionally damaged and grieving Michonne find common ground with a physically injured and hopeless Rick?

Esmeralda has had a lot to deal with in the past 2 months. Her half-brother Rick went into a coma and died, her sister-in-law Lori is with now with her other half-brother Shane, the Dead aren't so dead, she has to find meds in a zombie apocalypse, and the man she is developing feelings for is as difficult as they come. How will she handle everything and will she get with Daryl?

Rick and the group are on the road and have little by little more chaos as the night continues. I'm in progress with this!

When Rick Grimes dies, he thought that was it. Until he woke up alive and well. With a redo of the apocalypse, Rick is going to change what he can and keep his people, his family, alive to the best of his abilities. He can only hope that it will go to plan this time. With a little luck on his side, he may find allies that remember too.

After the fall of the Saviors, Carl survives, Negan gets away, and the people of Alexandria start to rebuild. But the introduction of new characters, both good and bad, are about to change the world of the dead. Note there will be violence, cursing, gore, and smut. There will also be physical experimentation, it's supposed to be meaningful not nasty, but it's there nonetheless.
