La Résistance, un groupe de rebels principalement composés des loyaux des églises, se tient étroitement informé des nouveaux plans et développements nouveaux dirigeants grâce à des membres infiltrés. C'est ce qui a permis a de nombreuses familles dont celle de June de concevoir un plan de fuite vers un autre continent.

Depuis son arrivée dans le réseau des Servantes rouges, Defred pense souvent à son temps, ses mémoires et ses activités avec les autres. Elle ne laissera surtout pas sa meilleure amie, Moira, derrière elle. La personne qui est la plus importante pour elle. Un one-shot entre Defred et Moira.

Dans la république de Gilead, Deglen se fait emmener dans un nouveau foyer. Elle fait tout pour s'habituer et rester dans le silence jusqu'à ce qu'une petite fille de 8 ans arrive dans la maison. Elle se nomme Darra et les deux se lieront d'amitié. Deglen fera tout pour l'aider à fuir la république et qui sait, peut-être que l'épouse et le Commandant seront de la partie.
