This is the sequel to Aloha Normero. It takes the story of Norma and Alex after his marriage proposal. Yes, his marriage proposal. These two stories don't follow the timeline of the Bates Motel TV series. It's kind of AU, but not really. It's AU where it counts, i.e. certain major character deaths not happening.

When a teenage Norma and her family travel to White Pine Bay for a summer job she is found by a local sheriff who is set on helping her out of an awful situation. The only problem is when his son Alex returns to town they end up stuck under the same roof together, and seem to be unable to stop butting heads. Normero fic. (Takes place in 1991)

Four years after that night, between tears and unmindful words, Norma rediscovers the effects of motherhood. However, this new event validates that Alex will be in her life forever. (Normero)

This is basically my interpretation of Alex Romero's POV and internal dialogue during his scene with Norma Bates in season 1, episode 8 of the show. Mild cursing, basically PG13. There is one F Bomb. No trigger warning necessary because it's just two adults talking (albeit tensely and awkwardly!) Presumably safe for work, though maybe not for school given the F bomb? lol
