Robin knew, deep in her bones, that with this day-with this wedding-she was cementing her future, and sealing her fate. But what else was there for her, if the lifelong passion she had worked so hard towards was now forever out of her grasp? Robin's first dealings with Cormoran's mail, so ideally set at the beginning of The Cuckoo's Calling. Kind of a non-missing missing moment (Robin's reaction to Cormoran's hate mail is actually described in the books. I only remembered after writing this. Oh well.)
