Sam has sort of disappeared and Foyle is looking for her

Sam's father and uncles are converging on Aubrey's vicarage and Sam and Foyle end up down among the vicars. This story will, as usaual, receive an installment a day until complete; should be through next weekend. There is a two part prologue and 5 chapters after that.

Christmas 1941 - With the war continuing to drag on and Andrew unable to get leave there seems to be little for Christopher Foyle to be merry about but sometimes joy is all the sweeter for the lack anticipation.

The small note in the post, more of a telegram really, from Christopher's sister's solicitor had arrived a week before to tell him of her passing. She had lived in Brisbane, Australia for as long as he could remember but he had never thought to go there himself. Now she was gone and her solicitor had asked him to attend the reading of her last will and testament.

Sam experiences a life altering event and Foyle is there to help her face it.

Foyle has left London and the Home Office; but, something has drawn him back. Multi-chapter - I'll post one chapter a day until complete, should take the week.

I do not like Angst stories and I especially do not like those that include, hint at, imply, or otherwise have any element of a main (or ship) character death. But trust me when I say, "Genre: Angst" may not be what you expect in this case (there is some heavy, albeit subtle, romance). Give it a read and let me know what you think.
