A piece of fiction done for a Creative Writing class; loosely resembles the plot of, "The Thing," in terms of monster abilities. Set in space using traditional Sci-Fi tropes such as cryostasis. A crew of seven are awakened on a corpse-ship returning to earth only to find the encounter far more dangerous than anyone on the ship could ever hope to never encounter.

Shortly after a horrendous winter storm, the crew of United States Antarctic Research Base "Hawke Station" find themselves investigating the recent loss of contact with US Outpost #31 and a nearby Norwegian camp. Over the course of this investigation, Hawke Station's crew soon find themselves dealing with something more terrifying than anything they could have ever imagined.

Man is the warmest place to hide. The story takes place just days after The Thing (1982) and arrives with brand new characters, paranoia inducing scenarios, a new outlook on The Thing, a even smarter, stealthier Thing and finally, a new camp.
