The Deviation Series, Part 1. The Capitol regained control of the districts. District 13 was abolished. The Hunger Games are back but with one adjustment: a unique twist must be involved ever year. For the 21st Hunger Games, the reaped must be related to a previous tribute. These tributes are connected in more ways than one.

"New procedure. Straight to the train." "I get to say goodbye!" protested Katniss. She needed to hold her baby one more time before she left, possibly to never return. "Mom, please take care of him! Please!" Warning: Kleenex! Oh, yeah, and violence, mild sexual content, domestic abuse, all that stuff... But mainly kleenex! Making it M for violent flashback scene. Intense story!

Katniss and Peeta died in the Games. The spark died down and nothing happened. The Games went on and Snow didn’t die. Now the 97th Games are coming up. Who will live and who will die. SYOT Open

The 9th Quarter Quell has begun. Districts don't want to let go of their children and the Capitol wants to see blood shed. Of course, it has to end this way: A dog fight. Who will rise above? Who will survive? [SYOT : OPEN]

Peeta has another flashback. This takes place after Mockingjay but before the epilogue. Peeta has a nightmare about what he had done and been through. Twenty years post-Mockingjay, Katniss and Peeta's daughter, Willow, comes home from her first day of kindergarten. Credit (like pretty much always) to MangoSmoothie6 for the idea and title.

Katniss never won the 74th Hunger Games, and the rebellion never started. Instead, her young companion Rue was the one to come home, and the Quarter Quell was never changed. But perhaps the change would have been kinder, as this year children as young as six are being sent into the games. SYOT closed, but feel free to read!

Peeta is saved from the Capital and returned to Katniss in District 13. Katniss spends her time reminding Peeta about the love he once felt for her; in the process she comes to terms with her own feelings. Katniss never wanted to be the Mockingjay, never wanted to be the face of the movement, all she wanted was to keep Primrose safe. All Madge wants is freedom. Freedom from the games and from the Capitol. In a world where neither girl got picked, this story takes place in district twelve. Following the characters and all their small rebellions as events unfold on screen.

In a drastic change to the Games, only rebels of reaping age and children related to rebels will be reaped.
