When I read ABOSAA I was intrigued by Tom Christie and his feelings for Claire. I wish we could have gotten at least a page from his perspective (He tried to give his life to save Claire after all he deserved a chapter imho.) Characters are based on Diana Gabaldon's intellectual work and she and her publisher own them.

Jamie takes his pregnant wife to the stones so she and the child can survive in the future. She is only 2 months along at this point. She returns promptly, only to find that somehow she went back too far, and has to relive her experiences. Her condition poses problems, but our hero marries her despite the warnings of his kin. Ultimately, Claire must see that Culloden never happens.

The Traitor, Jamie Fraser's second daughter is something of a rebel. She returns to Scotland in the hopes of finding her newly married sister and their father. She does not realize that so many things have changed in the country of her birth. She gains help in her search and eventually finds out just how complicated life is and just how sheltered she has been from it.

Ellen Fraser was an independent spirit. Some would say too independent. She was her father's daughter. She knew language, knew how to fight, & knew how to behave at court. Determined to do the honorable thing, he takes her to Craigh na dun, to send her back home, but at the last minute changes his mind. Grabbing her hand, he goes through with her.
