Based on a keyword writing prompt: a collection of D/N stories! Most of these are new with a few of my older ones which I've revised since they belong in this collection. They skip around in time a little bit, and range from fluff to angst to adventure to… well, whatever the keywords suggest! Enjoy.

Wanted criminal Numair Salmalin shadows the Cart Hak Rail Company as it moves through the West. He finds Daine, a dangerous outlaw wanted for the murder of the twelve bandits who killed her family. Daine is the only person who can expose the corrupt Cart Hak Chairman and clear Numair's name, but her help comes at a heavy price. D/N, AU, fluff, Western Magic/Fantasy

Galla holds a secret fort where dangerous, powerful mages are held captive. Daine has been imprisoned for six years, since the ravage of Snowsdale. The notoriously insane Hawk Mage has been caught after years of roaming the mountains. Daine is ordered to keep the dying man alive, but his determination to escape might destroy them both. D/N. Lindhall has a conversation with his former student about things that change, and things that stay the same. A missing conversation from Emperor Mage set after the Graveyard Hag's trick with the rats. EM and T&S canon compliant.

Tarshim is a terrible place...full of those filled with anger and hatred. I'm glad I left. Although I guess I could have thought of a better escape plan. If it wasn't for Numair and Daine I would have been dead by now... but I'm glad I get a second chance...

Years later Daine will say that what happened above Blue Harbor was the most beautiful thing she had seen in all the realms. Post-RotG. One-shot.

On an ordinary night on the balcony of Numair's tower a discussion between Daine and Numair touches upon things that weren't and things that yet might be. Scorned by a lover and on the road with Numair, Daine makes a discovery about herself and is forced to consider her future. Set several years post-ROTG where Numair never revealed his feelings. One-shot.

Daine's been working on opening a clinic in her Ma's name but she needs help getting an investor. Working in Onua's cafe, she meets Numair who's more than willing to assist... Modern AU. Updates are sporadic. Plot iffy so far!

This is the story of how Onua met Numair and how they became friends.

In a show of stunningly bad timing, I wrote a Numair Salmalin origin story just before Tamora Pierce publishes her definitive one. This should be canon-compliant, at least for now. Follow Numair's journey from Carthaki Ozorne-lackey to Black Mage of King Jonathan's court and catch up with a few old friends on the way! [AU] This is a story base in modern times. Daine is a wildlife expert that never thought much for the human race and neither did she bother to involve herself with them unless it concerns the animals. However she will find that Fate has something more install for her life than she could imagine.

Just a quick one shot with some conversation between Daine and Varice set during Emperor Mage. The books don't do Varice justice.

Modern college AU, DN. Daine is a student who's really into astronomy and Numair is an astrophysics grad student and TA. Pulled this up mostly written from who kows when! Maybe just a two shot but most likely will be longer.
