During the Second World War, SS Hauptsturmführer Amon Goeth, the commandant of concentration camp Kraków-Płaszów seems to enjoy his job. He enjoys killing the camp inmates and torturing his Polish Jewish maid, Helena whom he is unable to get rid of. Or is there something more under the surface?

SS Hauptsturmführer Amon Goeth, the commandant of concentration camp Kraków-Płaszów is doing "well" in his camp lately. He s satisfied with everything, especially with his young Polish Jewish maid named Helen. However, he came back home earlier one day and found something unexpected of her.

As Nazi Germany gains victory and the war coming to an end, Helen Hirsh and Amon Goeth makes an important decision that will change their lives forever. Nothing will ever be the same.

Helen Hirsch Horowitz is a woman marked by her past in the concentration camp, Plaszow. Living in the USA, she goes grudgingly to Vienna, Austria, to accompany her husband, who is the conductor of the New York Symphonic Orchestra. An encounter with a ghost from the past will haunt her mind and make her question her sanity, eleven years after the war. What is real? What is not?

As the camp continues to run under Amon Goeth, a worthless piano sits in his villa. He decides to put it into good use, by getting another Jew, to play for whenever he commands. World War 2 has ended and the Allies are in defeat. As a "reward" for being such a great Kommandant, Amon's higher commanders are letting him go back to Vienna and take a job as a teacher at a nearby Napola. However, his return to Austria and more settled life won't be the only new change. He is taking his mysterious, quiet, and dark new wife with him. Rated T for now...
