He offers simply, using the comb to guide her long hair and neatly gather it into one of his palms. A stark contrast to her usual method, which was just bunching it up with just her hands. As a doctor, one must be prepared to make personal sacrifices for one's work. Long hours, strenuous research, and emotional turmoil are part and parcel of a doctor's lifestyle, and many are unable to endure such things. It is only natural that only the greatest of doctors embrace such tenets instead of hiding from them.

As a surgeon, one must be prepared to perform morbid tasks that are out of the ordinary. These tasks cause suffering not as a goal, merely as a symptom, but their necessity demands sacrifice. Only the greatest surgeons are able to understand this tenet.

A year and a half after the Outsider's rescue, the Isles find themselves in the midst of civil war. The Abbey of the Everyman's last stand to retain their power at all costs, even if it means becoming their own enemy. The Outsider is discovered in Tyvia, and his affairs entangle in something far greater than the empire could ever imagine. Something that he must stop at all costs.

My take on the love story of Corvo Attano and Jessamine Kaldwin. From the day they met, to the day the Empress dies, slain by the assassin Daud.

Some people must live a life of deciet. Ava Hedsworth is one of those people. A heretic raised among overseers and The Abbey, she does what she can to understand the Void and what about it drives people toward the edge of madness. Like the figure of the Void she has an usatiable curiousity and hunger for answers. Some questions are, however, far more dangerous than others.

"I think, therefore I am" The Outsider is finally released from his imprisonment in the Void and returned back to the mortal world by no other than Billie Lurk. Where will his new regained life lead him and who will be by his side on this unusual new journey? Eventual Emsider, very slow burn and hopefully really long fic. After being ejected from the Void by Daud, the Outsider starts a new life as a human, with his dear Corvo helping. (This fic will ignore or alter almost everything from DOTO!)
