One way conversation. It's all in the title, huh... That's the best closure I could find for me as for the boys. Doesn't make me feel that much better, of course, but it's still something, I guess… Companion piece / Sequel to "Your last toast", but can be read on its own.

James POV. James' goodbyes. Sorry, couldn't stop myself. Too much feelings, writing helps - they say...

Davy is struggling with the death of James, and everyone else is too buried in their own grief to wonder. Then he gets the call. He's to write James' eulogy. How could they expect him to do that? T for mild swearing.

Set during and after James' suicide. Actually a crossover with Neil Gaiman's Sandman but you don't need to have read Sandman to understand. This hasn't been beta read and I shall probably change parts of it later but I just wanted to post this now.

The return journey is easier and harder.
