This is an AU("modern") Emma/Killian fic... it's inspired by Christina Perri's Music Video "The Words"... watch it, and you'll see these two first chapters are almost a "copy" of that song... (pretty much, with stuff left out for some, maybe, later chapters.)

This story serves as a sequel to my story called "Avalon". Regina must choose between her past and future. Regina's journey helps Emma to embrace her own past.

Gold likes having Killian's heart far too much for Killian's liking. Much to his chagrin, his captor takes every opportunity he can to revel in his continued misery. It's clearly not enough to now have control over Killian's very life - no, he needs to make him suffer like it's going out of style. And this time, he's got something truly disgusting in store for Killian.

This one-shot takes place at the end of season three's, Lost Girl. After Emma leaves their camp on her own to try to destress after a trying day, Pan appears to her again and continues to taunt her. However, Hook suddenly appears as well to defend Emma against the demon child. While Hook only wishes to assure her she can trust him, Emma is afraid to do so and she pushes him away.

Just like after having Henry changed her life forever, this time is no different except that this time she will be changed in ways she could have never foreseen...This is a AU story and will be eventual SQ but it will take time so don't be surprised that they will be paired with different people at first.
