This is a script for a proposed disturbing ending that I wrote for Rebuild of Evangelion. In the script Gendo secretly builds a supercomputer called "Golgotha" that he uses to download control algorithms into the hive mind that emerges during the instrumentality process in order to control the hive mind and become all-powerful.

Shinji Ikari is transported into John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), taking the place of Kurt Russell's character MacReady. All while his friends are forced to watch him fight to survive.

In aftermath of the battle with the 5th angel, Rei finds herself slowly becoming fanatical over Shinji after he burned his hands to save her. She remained distant, unsure of what to do, but once word came in that the new pilot, Asuka Langley Shoryu, was going to be living with him, something inside Rei snapped, releasing a flood of emotions and feelings both loving and twisted.

Darkness falls upon the earth as the angels begin their attacks. But when there is darkness there is also light as a new Magna Defender rises to fight the darkness and protect the earth
