Chloe doesn't need to have you ruining your friendship by turning it into something more. She doesn't deserve that. All she needs is a friend. Chloe always - ALWAYS - protects Max from danger, even when the danger is in the form of a ball to the head that leaves her concussed. What she doesn't realise is that a concussion can leave you without restrain, therefore make you say things you never plan on saying. Such as how much you love your best friend.

Max cries because the memory is too far up for her to reach and too blindingly white for her to see. All she remembers is a blue butterfly, and the ocean, and a crooked, comforting smile that never changes in the years she left her.

You see it, clear as day, how lost she is without you, even before you die. And you keep on seeing it, how she slowly loses herself the longer she lives without you.

Max reflects in her journal on the life-changing week she went through with Chloe, where she was faced with many different choices. Some of these choices needed careful consideration, some needed no thinking time at all - and one of these was far more excruciatingly difficult than others, leaving the young hipster unsure to this day if she really made the right decision… One-shot.

Max, Chloe, their adopted daughter and a local friend continue their trials in Telkia. As an ongoing serious, reading without parts 1-5 will be disorientating. Swearing and mild drug use, equivalent to what is in the game.
