After leaving the Factory, Mr. Teavee decides something must be done about Mike's size. For one thing, it's wintertime, and Mike's jacket doesn't fit. Will Mr. Wonka oblige him? Charlie's elder brother, Thomas, has been overseas being drafted to serve in the Vietnam war a year before Charlie had won the Golden Ticket.
