A What If drabble for 3x11 "Mac Fallout Jack". Warning: Character Death.

"Yeah, there is something that I'd like to say, and make sure that it reaches Angus MacGyver. 'Don't promise that you'll save me from all this, because we both know how well you keep your promises." How will Mac deal with the return of someone from his life back in Mission City? Especially when the circumstances of the return are less than ideal.

Mac will either hate her or love her. When he comes back to work on Monday a stranger is already in the War Room and he finds out this is Jack's handpicked agent? The duo already runs into major issues when Mac was drugged and she has to find a way to keep them both alive and get back to Riley and Bozer while trapped in a jungle of terrorists with a nuclear weapon.

Jack doesn't know if watching Mac lock himself in a room full of nerve gas is the most stupid thing he's watched Mac do, but it definitely ranks high on the list. Coming in right under that is agreeing with Oversight's decision to fly back to the Phoenix for medical treatment and observation rather than hightailing it to the nearest hospital. Riley had had a day. A day full of ex-boyfriends, friends crossing boundaries and now... Now she was potentially marrying Mac. It's be a really long day.

Tag for Father Bride Betrayal. IMHO the final scene of this episode was a sorry excuse for an end to such a wonderful bromance and character dynamic. A handshake? Seriously? This is my take on what (should have) happened after Jack walked out that door. Ep 3x14 Rated T to be safe.

Exfil team Sierra November is sent on a call to retrieve DXS Agents MacGyver and Dalton from an unstable cave system. When Thomas King gets to the agents he's been sent to retrieve, what he finds is grim. With Jack trapped and unresponsive, Mac refusing to leave, and the entire system close to coming down around them, getting everyone out alive is going to be... complicated. (gen)

Jack has some news that is going to hurt Mac.

Mac stared up at Riley with bleary eyes, wiping her own tears away with the sleeve of her shirt. "He promised he would be the one." He whispered. "The one who wouldn't leave me." And with the news of a broken promise from the man who had gone from being his partner to his friend to his brother, Mac succumbed to the darkness again.

They got what they came for, but they never make it to exfil. Before she knows it, Riley finds herself alone with two badly injured team members, and it's up to her get them rescued and to keep them alive until then. Oh yeah, and the bad guys are still after them, of course...

The team has to work to put Mac back together after he is captured by terrorists. Major whump fest. Warning for descriptions of torture/violence/ language. This one's gonna be intense and 100% focused on our favorite family.

Tag for Episode 3:13. When Mac is injured in the field, Jack knows exactly where he is supposed to be.

Meeting a contact, then home for pizza. What could go wrong? Lots. Lots could go wrong
