(Insert Party Chat: Learning About Lane And Michael, Part 1)

Guy – "So since you're traveling with us for the time being Lane, we might as well get to know you."

Lane – "Not a problem."

Arietta – "Okay, first question. Do you have the same powers as Michael?"

Lane – "Not a bit."

Asch – "Even I thought that you would have something similar to your brother's powers."

Lane – "I don't really know why that is either. But I don't mind it one bit."

Anise – "Anything else about you and Michael that we should know?"

Lane – "Let's see… Compared to Michael, I'm more of a single blade user."

Sync – "I always did wonder why Michael was a dual blade user."

Lane – "Michael said that it's easier for him to guard against opponents this way. That and he's not a shield person."

Largo – "Why am I not surprised…"

Dist – "So what else do you want to tell us about you and Michael Lane?"

Lane – "As far as I know, you, Jade, and General Goldberg had a bit of an embrassing situation against Michael five years ago."

Jade – "Unfortunately…"

Natalia – "General Goldberg admitted that the training exercise went in a completely different direction that how he thought it would."

Largo – "So what did happen?"

Dist – "As a sign of being on friendly terms with the Masi and Bradshaw families, Kimlasca, Malkuth, and Daath decided to join forces and do a military exercise."

Anise – "What was the goal of the exercise?"

Jade – "Dist, General Goldberg, and I were to try and take Masi Manor. Meanwhile, Michael and Niko would lead their respective forces into defending the manor. Michael led the knights, while Niko led the maids."

Arietta – "Niko did mention that their maids had been taught all kinds of martial arts and how to use any weapon. I'd actually be afraid to fight any of them."

Dist – "Most of the soldiers admitted that it seemed like the maids hit with twice the force that Largo normally puts out when he swings his scythe, but it instead felt like TEN time that amount."

Sync – "Good lord…"

Asch – "The two of them at least gave you three time to come up with a plan, right?"

Jade – "They gave us as long as we wanted. Took a good two hours to think of a fool-proof plan."

Lane – "And…"

Dist – "The two of them destroyed it in five minutes."

Largo – "That quickly?!"

Jade – "Unfortunately that's what happens when you fight against one person with an IQ over 300."

Sync – "Great. So he's crazy strong AND super smart."

Arietta – "True. But I'll happily take Michael as my Commandant over Van any day."

Largo – "Agreed."

(Insert Party Chat: Noble Phantasms)

Luke – "Hey Asch, Lane. What was that power that Michael used to free me earlier?"

Asch – "We don't really know, to be honest."

Lane – "I feel like I've heard the term for those kind of moves before, but I just can't put my finger on it."

Michael – "Noble Phantasms."

Luke – "I'm sorry."

Michael – "That's the name of the attacks I used to free you from that Mana Barrier. And if you want to know more about them, just ask Niko once you wake up when you have the chance."

(Insert Party Chat: What Happened To Luke)

Anise – "Hey Lane. You and Asch don't mind telling us what happened to Luke back at Yulia City?"

Lane – "We don't, but it would probably be better to get the whole story from him and Michael."

Arietta – "Lane does make a point. There could be factors that he and Asch don't even know while Michael and Luke do."

Anise – "I guess."
