Chapter 11 My Voice
Mimmi's POV
Four Hours Later
I was getting worried.
Sunset was approaching and there was still no sign of Rita or my mother.
"Excuse me", I heard Chris say.
With that I turned around and saw him speaking on what Rikki told me is called a mic.
"My girlfriend Mia would like to sing a song."
With that Amelia took the mic and started singing.
This made me angry. Very angry.
How dare she use MY VOICE?!
That was the last straw.
Without even thinking...I ran up to her and tackled her to the ground!
I got the necklace off her...and smashed it on the ground!
My voice flew out of it...and into my throat!
I sang the ending of the song Amelia was singing...and smiled.
"My voice is back", I said happily. "My voice is back!"
"Mimmi", Chris said in shock. "You can talk?"
"I can", I replied.
"But how", Chris asked.
I was about to answer, but before I could...I fell to the ground!
I looked at my legs...and gasped in shock.
They were no longer legs. They were a tail!
I looked at the sky...and saw the sun had set.
"Oh no."
Then...I heard Amelia laugh evilly.
"You're too late", she exclaimed. "You're too late!"
"Mimmi", Chris said in shock. "You're...a mermaid."
Before I could answer...Amelia grabbed onto my arm.
"Sorry lover boy", she said. "But the princess and I have other matters to attend to."
With that...Amelia jumped into the water with me in tow.
Then...she transformed back into her true form.
"Don't be so sad princess", she said. "At least you got to feel what it's like to be a human. Now let's go."
"Not so fast Amelia!"
With that I turned around...and saw my mother!
"Mom", I yelled.
I tried to swim to her, but Amelia held me back!
"Let her go Amelia", my mother demanded.
"I don't think so", Amelia said before holding up the contract she made me sign. "We made a deal. I gave her a chance and it's over now. However, I might be willing to make a trade."
"What kind of trade", my mother asked.
"Give me the trident. In return, I will give you your daughter back."
"Don't do it mom", I pleaded.
With that...my mother looked down sadly...then said this.
"Deal."

My Answer: If you've watched The Little Mermaid then you'll know. If not...then I'm not telling!
