AN: This Chapter goes out to my dear Husband. Happy Birthday Babe. Thank you for always encouraging me and believing in me.

He loves this story and I hear about how I never finished it about once a month. So Here I am, writing again. Hopefully, it will continue, but no promises. Happy Holidays and Enjoy!

Ginny,

I have really screwed this up. I feel as though even if he is happy with the idea of Melody, a child is going to mess everything up for Ron. I loved watching them interact today. I loved hearing her call him Daddy. But this isn't what it was supposed to be like. He has a life and a family without us. I'm okay with that. Really I am. I think we will stay a few more days, and then we need to get back to New York. I have already upset Lavender enough for a lifetime. I don't know how my daughter is going to be treated by her if they…

There was a tap at the window. Hermoine stopped writing the letter to Ginny and let the owl in. There were two notes attached.

She opened the first note. It was from Lavender. Hermione rolled her eyes and then opened the note.

Hermione,

I wanted to write you and explain what the next letter is going to say. I'm Sorry I was mean to your daughter. It was definitely a shock to learn that Ron had a daughter and I have acted terribly. That wasn't the plan in our lives. Attached you will find a letter that was sent out to everyone who was invited to the wedding. I have called it off. I was not meant to be a mother or step mother. I am sorry again for how I acted.

Wishing you the Best,

Lavender.

Hermione's Mouth dropped open. She was in shock. She called off the wedding. That is mature. She didn't even want to take the time and try to work it out. She thought about Ron. Poor Ron. What he must be going through. Hermione opened up the other letter, sure enough it said that due to unforeseen circumstances, Lavender has had a change of heart and that Ron and her would no longer be getting married.

Hermione quickly finished her letter to Ginny and sent the owl on its way.

Her mind drifted back to Ron and wondered what and how he was doing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ron couldn't go back to sleep after his dream. Too much had happened today to sleep. He hoped Lavender would change her mind and come back to him, but he knew hoping that would only hurt more. She was done. She had canceled the wedding.
The Wedding! He had asked Hermione to stay until the wedding and now… no wedding meant that Melody was leaving sooner. That he wouldn't get those extra days with her. Ron hung his head in defeat. How in just a few days had his life changed so much. His wonderful life had been turned upside down. He went from engaged and ready to settle down with Lav. Their life was good. They both had great jobs and were able to have a great life with each other. There was nothing holding them back. They had the freedom to do whatever they wanted in life. Travel? Oh he had planned to travel. There was so much he wanted to do and see. They had planned an amazing honeymoon. They were going to tour the North American and South American Continent. They had both planned to take a month off but other than that, there was no agenda.
" Hold on." Ron said to the empty room. " America, we were going to America. Hermione lives in America. New York." Hermione could still go back to her work and their lives in New York. Ron would just follow them. He wasn't sure how Hermione would feel about this idea. But the idea of letting Melody leave without any idea of the next time he would see her, well he just couldn't do that.
Ron would talk to Hermione about it today. Well he would tell her the plan. Ron felt he needed to be assertive when it came to Hermione. He had to show her that he was a man now and not just the boy she had known in school. He had a great job and could provide for Melody… and Hermione if she wanted.
The next day at the Burrow, the whole family was in an uproar. Molly and Arthur were in the kitchen talking with Fred and George who had Apperated over as soon as they had gotten their owls this morning.
" The Nerve of that woman!" Molly growled. " Canceling the wedding. My poor Ron! What he must be going through"
Just as she finished her sentence, they heard a Pop and there was Ron. He was smiling and had just finished taking a bite of his toast. " Morning" He said with a mouth full of bread. Molly ran to him.
"Oh dear, look at you. Eating your problems away. You never change," she said shaking her head sadly.
" Mum, what are you going on about?" Then he saw the envelope on the table. " Oh," Ron sighed and then sat down " Mum, you have got it all wrong. I was eating because I was in a hurry to talk to Hermione. Is she up yet?"
" Way to go Ron! Move on quickly!" George said laughing and nudged him in the arm. " Thats the way to do it" Fred said, nudging the other arm. Ron was now sandwiched between his brothers. " She wasn't that great anyways" They said in unison.
The family sat down and talked some more as Molly finished breakfast.
As Molly was bringing the food to the table, they heard the sound of little feet coming down the stairs.
