Chapter 13:
"So basically you had skulls that could talk on you, and they told embarrassing secrets and there was pervy doctor. I miss one day of school and it seems I miss the most amusing situations, well at least you're alive Tsuna-chin." She grins at him and he sighs, "You didn't miss much, you know most of the stuff it said, and the pervy doctor now works at our school." She pouts "But I didn't get to see you almost punch the guy who tried to kiss your girl, even though you failed." He blushed, "At least I tried, anyway why weren't you at school?" She grimaced, "Ma got super angry when she checked my injuries, she kept me home in order to heal without interference." he nodded and they continued on their way.
The lunch crisis happened today, but Jun slept through most of it so nothing changed.

The Next Day.
"So you're trying to find a babysitter, you know I could do it right I mean he does think of me as his big sister." Jun is ignored by Reborn in a panda costume. She yawns and goes to take a nap when she is stopped by the feeling of dread she looks back and sees Tsuna giving her the puppy- dog eyes, "Fine, fine. I'll stay." He smiles, 'Damn brat using his damned magic puppy dog eyes' "I won't do it I hate the stupid cow." Gokudera looks away from Lambo in disgust, "I forgot to say the one who becomes the babysitter is Tsuna's right hand man." "T-the right hand man" Gokudera grimaces and then forces a rather painful looking smile, "I-I totally love Lambo." Tsuna sweat drops. "The rules are simple the first one to make Lambo smile, wins. You get three minutes each." Gokudera goes first and fails miserably, then Ryohei tries to force him to smile, and finally Yamamoto goes. He was the one who everyone had their hopes up for, even Tsuna "Yamamoto looks like he's good with kids." He then proceeded to throw the ever living hell out of a ball, it almost hit Lambo but was stopped by Jun batting it away with her bokuto, "That ball was super heavy Takeshi, did you add more power." He laughed and nodded, "SCARY! Nee-chan is scary, Yamamoto is scary! WAAAAHHHHH!" "Eh. No wait Lambo." The little cow runs, "Scary face, you make scary face Nee-chan!"
Well in the end Reborn came to the conclusion that Tsuna was best fitted to taking care of Lambo, and Jun was depressed for the rest of the week, missing the lunchbox incident with I-pin and the incident with the Gyoza buns. "Moh, Jun-chan Lambo doesn't hate you he was just scared of your serious face, not that I can blame him it is rather terrifying." He mumbled the last part Jun just looked at him with a pout, "It's not fair Takeshi made a serious face and Lambo didn't get scared of him, why did he get scared of mine?! I mean he now avoids me, and and *sniffle*" she rubs away the tears in her eyes, Tsuna looks on rather flat footed at the sight of his friend crying, "U-um please don't cry Jun-chan he doesn't hate you I promise he just got surprised by your scary face-", "So my face is scary!" "Ye-yeah a little but it's nothing too bad and you never hurt anyone you care about besides Lambo still likes you, you're his Nee-chan" he puts a hand on her shoulder and squeezes it "I've got to go, okay come over tomorrow." He waves to her scarf around his neck fluttering as he walked back to his home, she nods 'I should probably head home to Ma, is making soba.' She walks home a slow pace 'I wish I didn't scare Lambo-chin, I didn't mean to.'

The next day you could see Jun walk towards her friends home in a blue kimono, her hair had a white flower pin in it and she walked elegantly and delicately towards her childhood friend's home. The only part that looked to show her true emotions were her twitching eyebrows, 'I have nothing against kimono in fact I love how they look, but with that threat how can anyone be comfortable'
*FLASHBACK*
"Ma, I'm going to Tsuna-chin's tomorrow." "Hmm, Okay but you're wearing a kimono and you must act like a lady, oh and also if anything happens to the kimono your training will be torture." She smiled a terrifying smile to her daughter who was sweating bullets and nodding her head furiously, the husband looked on with a bored face 'Women are troublesome, but I love them. *mental sigh*' he smiles softly at his family. "Wait, why do I have to wear a kimono? I'm just gonna be hanging out with Tsuna-chin." Her mother smiled coyly, "Oh you know a little birdie told me something that you don't know, besides I said so do you have any objections." She smiled petrifying the girl, she shook her head "N-no M-ma'am." They continued eating in peace.
*FLASHBACK END*
"Yo Tsuna, happy New Year," she grinned and waved at the boy who was handling Lambo, "Ah Jun-chan please help me with Lambo," she nods and smiles at the young boy kindly. "Lambo-chin you should give Tsuna-chin an easier time you know, don't be so rude that's no way to ask for something." Lambo looked a little unsure around the girl and it hurt her though she didn't show it, but then he snapped out of it and smiled brightly, "Nee-chan Happy New Years!" He jumped into her arms, she smiled wider and held him close "I'm glad you're feeling better Lambo-chin." He giggles and she hands him a candy, "It's a new flavor that Fairy got in." he sucks on the sugary treat happily, "Tsuna-chin how was your New Year?" Tsuna blushed and laughed "It was good though Reborn, Bianchi and Lambo finished the osechi. How about you Jun-chan and also why are you wearing a kimono?" "Ma, threatened me." "Ah that sounds about right." Kyoko walks up to Tsuna, "Tsuna-kun, Lambo-kun, Jun-chan Happy New Year's." "K-kyoko!" "Happy New Year's Kyoko."
"Happy New Year's 10th!" Gokudera came running up to Tsuna like the puppy he is and turns to the rest of them. He blushes, when he sees Jun though only slightly "Dead eye's Happy New Year." she grins at him, "Happy New Year to you as well old man. Have you been eating well?" He grits his teeth in anger though you can find some mirth at the routine in his eyes, "Not an old man, and yes I have." She nods. She is then almost tackled by a very excited Miura Haru, "Happy New Year Jun-senpai! You look so beautiful in your kimono, you too Kyoko-chan your kimono is very cute!" She continues hanging off of Jun as she talks to Kyoko and she just sweat drops at the action, kind of getting use to it. As the girls continue to 'kya kya' over this and that she notices a rather red and silent Yamamoto. "Yo Takeshi, you alright?" She looks at him in worry, and then gains a sharp glint her eyes and a rather sadistic grin, "Did you by any chance get a fever by overworking yourself again." She cracks her knuckle and pulls her bokuto from nowhere, she steps ominously towards the now scared looking teen. "Haha no no, Jun-chan. I was just well you look very beautiful in the kimono. It suits you."
.

After finding out that Reborn set up the 'traditional' Vongola New Year's celebration they all went to the side of the river.
It went horribly, but not at the same time. It all worked out though, and Jun had made enough mochi for the entirety of the group.
Yay, no poison mochi for any of us.
Or whatever Dino and his family made.
So yeah, yay.
.
.
.
"Yeah Tsuna Ma, pops and me are going on a trip to visit Grandma and Grandpa so be careful, eat your vegetables, oh and make sure that Gokudera is eating right. Lambo is a bit whiny but he's a good kid so watch over him, check on Takeshi to make sure he isn't overworking, and I-pin should be fine. Just take care of them, okay. Bye!" she waves to Tsuna as she walks to her father he was waiting for her in a cab sighing.
"I don't know what I did, but why are you such a mother hen."
She grins, "Because I care, and anyway they'll be able to take care of themselves I think. I hopeā¦.
You know maybe I should stay."
Her father holds her in the cab and makes sure her seat belt is secure, before telling the driver to floor it to the airport. "Nope, Ma and Pa are waiting for their granddaughter so you'll just have to let what happens, happen." He ruffles her hair and they continue on their way, "Why do Gran and Gramps have to live in Hokkaido it's freezing up there this time of year." Her father grins and her mother giggles at their daughter's aversion to the cold, "Don't let them hear you say that, they'll try to convince you that it's the best place to live and then you'll never be able to leave. It's how they got Uncle Rin to join their snowy ranks." Both father and daughter nod solemnly at the thought of their fallen comrade, and the mother just sweat drops at the duo. They board the plane and prepare themselves for a long flight of card games and shogi games, at least for the two gray haired duo, but for the normal people being their mother she made the effort of making her seat as comfortable as possible and fell asleep.
Yeah this was going to be interesting.
.
.
.
2 Hours Later.
The mother looked at the duo, who seemed to be shaking as if they were a hairless chihuahua. "Honestly you two, the winter this year isn't that bad, and the snow is beautiful." Gin and her father look at the woman, "Of course you would say that you were born in the cold, yes you was. Now my daughter time to find precious warmth." The daughter nods and they proceed to stop a cab, shaking and teeth chattering the driver looked terrified at the duo's insistence and it took the mother knocking them out before they stopped hassling the driver.
At the family home Jun and her family were greeted by the familiar sight of her uncle and grandfather arguing with each other, "I tell you, idiot son, the peas will be fine the snow is just a baby breeze." The man with white hair looked outside and saw the storm, "Like hell it is old man it's a literal frozen hell, can you not see the frozen people, Oh." Both the old man and white haired man take notice of the frozen daughter and father duo, the mother had gone inside and was greeted by the warmth of her mother-in-law and tea, the old man and comparatively younger and go out to help the duo.
A session with a hairdryer later.
"How are you so susceptible to cold, you were born and raised here you had no problem with it until you moved to Namimori for high school." The well bundled man responded, "That's because I finally found out what warmth is, anyway why do you live here it's a perpetual winter you could move south and still have snow." He sipped on his tea, and then choked mouth foaming, he faints. The old man laughs, "Haha that bad huh, I guess this tea blend is better suited to the failure pile," Jun looked at her tea and set it down softly, "What the hell" she mumbled as her uncle carried her unconscious father to the guest room. Her grandfather looked at her his face softening slightly, "How's my favorite grandchild?!" She smiled "Only grandchild, but yeah I'm doing fine gramps. How have you been?" He grins widely his exuberant nature a sharp contrast from his eldest son and granddaughter lax natures.
Her uncle came back after carrying his nearly comatose brother, he grins brightly at his niece "Hey kid, how's middle school?" She yawns slightly, "Boring, tiring, lots of explosions though, you can't believe how many bombs have actually gone off on campus, but other than that same old, same old." She shrugged and the man sweat dropped at the reaction, "So explosions are a normal thing in Namimori." She nods and her grandfather laughs at his son's reaction.
.
.
.
The weeks in the north were spent inside, cold and miserable at least to the untrained eye.
But the family and it's warmth and happiness more than made up for the constant winter outside, and even her grandfather's attempt at making the 'best tea ever' which usually ended up in total disaster, and with her father on the ground foaming at the mouth, she still felt the warmth of family.
Of course, the same could not be said for her father.
It was a good vacation
.
.
.
By the time they had gotten back to Namimori the Sakata family had a new shine to them that came with the relaxation and rest of a good vacation.
They were rejuvenated.
The whole town could see it the usually dull Mr. Sakata had a sparkling smile that seemed to radiate happiness and confidence.
The usually cold Mrs. Sakata had kind and warm aura around that seemed to rival even that of Sawada Nana.
And the child of both seemed to be smiling brighter.
Honestly, the town was creeped out and the students seemed to fear she would crack from the constant smile she had on. They honestly were very disconcerted, "Hey Jun-chan, are you alright?"
She smiled kindly to the doe eyed boy, "Tsuna-chin I'm fine better than fine, I feel so well rested, ah but it's good to be back how was your vacation. Also the smile don't worry the smile will wear off in a day or two, you remember right the last time we went to visit gran and gramps this happened too, I think it's the cold."
Tsuna thinks back and nods, "Oh yeah, you'd think the town would be used to it by now, this is like a yearly thing."
She nods and smiles almost as brightly as Nana-san, with flowers and everything, "Takeshi, Hayato, how was your vacation?"
Yamamoto had a red face and goofy smile on a as he replied with an airy good and Gokudera looked slightly disturbed with only a hint of blush on his cheeks, "I'm fine, what's with you I've never seen you so cheery, is armageddon coming should I prepare a bunker."
She giggled sweetly, GIGGLED, SWEETLY, Takeshi literally became even redder and now Gokudera was honestly worried for her.
"No silly, I just had a wonderful and refreshing vacation in the cold winter wonderland known as my grandparents wonderful home, tee-hee."
Barf, just barf.
.
.
.
.
The change only lasted for two days and then the whole Sakata family went back to normal and the whole of Namimori took in a deep breath of relief.
