"Where the hell is this guy?"

Lash and the rest of his class were waiting outside of professor Mikelsen's classroom. Class was starting soon and the professor wasn't there yet. He was usually early and all ready to teach. But not today.

Katie finally showed up. Lash noticed she was looking better. Her strawberry blonde hair was tied up in a ponytail. She was wearing a long sleeved pink shirt with jeans. Her expression wasn't out of the ordinary. When she saw her classmates standing outside the class, confusion was plastered on her face.

Katie was surprised to see her class standing outside of the classroom. She noticed many groups of friends and where Speed and Lash were standing, there was a lot of space between them and the other groups. Speed and Lash were talking amongst themselves. It's as if people were afraid to go near them, which was normal, they were the school bullies. But Katie wasn't afraid of them. She immediately went up to them, the other students glancing at her in the process.

"So where is the professor?" Katie asked them as she got closer to them. She noticed the boys gave her a look. They hadn't expected her to join them. They weren't friends.

"Clearly not here." Speed drawled in response. "If he was, we'd be in the class already." He added. "Obviously." He added, with a sneer. How could she have not known that?

"I know he's not here!" Katie sighed. "Usually he is."

"He's not." Speed pointed out.

"Maybe there was a delay in coming here?" Katie shrugged. "Traffic?"

"To get to a school high up in the sky?" Lash raised a brow.

Speed snorted.

Katie laughed. "I guess not."

Lash gave small smile, despite himself.

Speed noticed and raised a brow. But before he could say anything, Principal Powers came down the hallway towards them. "Attention everyone. Professor Mikelsen is not having his class today. I got an email from him and he's not feeling well. You may use your free time for whatever you want and when it's time, just make sure to," She turned her head towards Speed and Lash. "head to your next class." She walked off after she did her announcing.

The students started fanning out, going where they wanted.

"What?! Are you kidding me?" Speed shook his head. "He should have told her this last night and then we could have slept in this morning. We got up for nothing." He crossed his arms, frustrated. He would have liked that extra sleep.

"What do you want to do then, man?" Lash turned to his best friend.

Speed was going to answer but noticed Katie was still there. "Aren't you going to leave? You can, you know." He reminded her. What? Like she was going to stick around?

Katie shook her head. "I'll leave but I just want to ask Lash something."

"What?" Lash turned to her this time.

"Since we have an hour free, maybe we can do the session right now and we won't have to do it after school?" Katie asked. "Speed can join us if he wants."

Lash turned to Speed. That would give him the chance to leave school early.

"Hell no, we have a free hour to do whatever we want and you want to have a session?" Speed stared at them. Lash seemed like he wanted to go with her. Okay, he had missed the sessions last week, but they had a free hour! To do whatever!

"Come on, Speed. I think this will be good, I mean we have that test on Friday. Where is your tutor, maybe you can ask him?" Katie wondered.

"We're not supposed to have a session today." Came his swift reply. "I would much rather do nothing, anyway." Speed added.

"The better we understand this material, the quicker we can stop going to these sessions." Lash reminded him.

Speed shook his head. "No." Came his response. Why would he go? Hadn't he made it clear that he didn't want?

"It's okay if you don't want to, I was just trying to be-" Katie was starting to say.

"-nice?" Speed finished for her. He turned towards her, matching her gaze.

Katie was taken aback by his tone of voice. "Y-Yeah." She nodded.

"Why are you being so nice to us? I know you're tutoring Lash and I get that, but to join us this morning and to help Lash that time when he stormed out of your house?" Speed didn't know why she was doing this! He had to know. "We're not friends."

"I-I'm just being nice." Katie responded. Was there a bad thing about that?

"Why?!" He demanded again. "We're bullies, we bullied your friends. I don't understand how you could be nice to us after all the things we did to you!" Speed took one step towards her, as if intimidating her would make her scared and have to tell the truth.

Katie was anything but. "It's just how I am." She responded.

Speed took another step towards her. "Maybe I don't like that."

"Dude." Lash furrowed his brows. What the hell was Speed doing?

"I'm not going to change just because you don't like how I'm treating you." Katie told him. She stood her ground. Did he think she was afraid of him? She certainly wasn't.

Speed was all up in her face. "Is that so?"

Katie matched his gaze. "Yes."

Speed was being as intimidating as he could, but Katie didn't back off. She had matched with him, matched her gaze and her stance.

And Speed hated that.

After everything they've done to her, she still stands up to them. And what is pissing him off even more is that how she's changed Lash. He seemed nicer and he actually wanted to go to tutoring with her. What had she done to him? "Tch." He turned away from her and walked down the hall. She was going to pay. He didn't know how…

But he was going to make sure.

Professor Mikelsen was at home.

He was pacing in the living room, empty glass in hand. No no no, this can't be. He's out of prison?! Those thoughts were running in his mind. He hadn't even changed out of his sleep wear. Upon hearing that, he knew he couldn't come in that day. He felt so stressed that he was feeling sick to his stomach. So he wasn't feeling well. He just didn't tell her the reason why.

He let out a frustrated scream and threw his glass at the wall, shattering upon impact. Why did this happen? Why did he taunt him? He cleaned up the glass and went to wash his hands. Upon seeing his reflection, he almost had a heart attack. Green eyes and Black hair was what he saw. He saw his strong jawline, bushy eyebrows and a Balbo beard with a soul patch, complementing his round face. He let out a sigh of relief. That's right.

He wasn't in disguise.

That was another thing he was lying about to Principal Powers. Who he really was. For one, he didn't have telekinesis. He could manipulate metal and make gadgets. Like the watch he wore to change his physical appearance and how he rigged his classroom with buttons and gadgets to make it seem like it was him who was controlling it but actually they were able to move with a push of a button. "Professor Mikelsen" was his alter-ego. His real name was Scott. He had gone into hiding after what he had done to his brother.

Scott lived in a cottage in the middle of the woods. It was also hidden and not easy to get to. He had made it so there was an invisible force field covering his house when he wasn't there. For him to get the force field down, there was a fake tree with a switch that took it off. He made sure to get the attention away from it by altering its appearance.

Scott headed towards his spare room and clicked a hidden switch before entering the room. If anyone else tried to get in, the doors would open to a regular room. He entered his lab and got to work on the invention that turned his brother into a supervillain.
