Chapter 13: Lana
Disclaimer: I do not own the Loud House
This chapter contains explicit language.
Lori stayed up all that night, going over her suspects.
She forgot that three days ago, Luan kicked them all out of the house, for the unexpected ultimate April Fools prank (I forgot to add that in) and that she thought that would be to throw Lori off track from the investigation.
The next morning, Lana was the first downstairs, and she was sitting at the dinner table.
Lori noticed that this was her chance, so she sat down, next to her.
"Lana, I have a few questions for you."
"Let's hear em."
"Did you steal my phone?"
"No."
"Do you know who stole my phone?"
"No."
"Could you help me on the investigation?"
"No," Lana says, and adds, "Ask Lisa and/or Lincoln. Besides, if I'm helping you, the other'll know there's something up."
Lori couldn't come up with an argument, so she just walked off.
But, that didn't mean she was done with Lola.
"I have to find a way to make her talk. She's very suspicious. But, she may not be the only one on my suspect list, but she's definitely hiding something."
She comes back. "Hey, Lana?"
"Yes?" Lana asks. Lana was opening the frog food, about to feed Hops.
"Do you mind if I search your room?"
"Sure, but I have nothing to hide. If I wanted to know your life, me and Lynn would've done it ourselves."
"Lynn!" Lori says.
She runs to Lynn's room.
"Lucy, have you seen-
"I have not seen your phone."
"Not my phone, Lynn. Have you seen Lynn?"
"Yes."
Lori smiled.
"Three hours ago." Lucy adds. Lori's happiness drains when Lucy confirms that once she woke up, Lynn said that she had to go to the store to meet her friends. "And, she said she wouldn't be here for hours."
I'll bet she's hiding something, Lori thinks to herself.
"I'm just gonna search her stuff..."
"I don't think you'll find nothing. She's innocent."
How would Lucy know? Lori thinks to herself, And, doesn't this mean that she knows who did it?
"Also, I do not know who did it."
Lori turns around.
"Just saying." Lucy adds.
Lori waits on the couch. She'll be back, soon.
An hour later, no Lynn.
Two hours later, no Lynn.
Three hours later, no Lynn.
Four hours later, no Lynn.
I can't take this. If she isn't home at three, I will go looking for her.
An hour later, no Lynn.
Alright, I'm going.
She takes the van.
Twelve seconds after Lori leaves, a white commercial van arrives at the house.
The back door opens, and Lynn Junior gets out the back of the van.
She walks into the house. "Lynn Loud Junior scores a new high score!" She says, referring to how fast she got from the van to the house.
"Lori just went out, looking for you." Luna says.
"Yeah," Lucy says, "She thinks you stole her phone."
"Well, I guess we can't call her." Lynn says.
"She took the house phone." Lucy says.
"Again?" Lynn asks.
"Yeah," Her mom says, walking out her bedroom.
Their dad walks out the room.
Leni walks down the stairs. "Hey guys. I'm just about to watch the sunrise."
Nobody says anything. They just face palm themselves.
"What?"
"It's three-thirty-seven PM," Rita says.
"I thought it was three AM."
"The sun doesn't rise until six or seven." Lynn Jr. says.
"Oh. Then, I'll go eat lunch."
"Have a snack, bro," Luna says.
"Wait a minute!" Lynn Senior says, "Lori shouldn't be outside the house, alone! She might try to go see Bobby, and get lost again!"
"They broke up," Rita says, keeping the straight face that she just had.
"She might go to try to get back together with him." Luan says.
"Yeah," Rita says, "But what are the chances of that happening?"
"He loves her so much, that's the reason why, honey." Lynn says.
"Actually, she loves him. Bobby doesn't like Lori, remember?" Rita tells her husband.
"Yeah, but you never know. He could've broke up with her out of rage." Lynn says.
"He did brake up with her outta rage," Junior says.
"Ya see, Rita," Lynn says, "He broke up with her out of rage."
"For a reason!" Rita argues.
He didn't want to get into an argument with Rita with this going on, so he just gave up. On top of figuring out that she was right, and that Lynn Junior wasn't agreeing with him. She was just confirming what he said.
"Well, I guess you're right." Lynn says.
"Yes," Says Lynn Junior.
"Well, now that that's settled, we have to stop her. We spent thirty-two thousand dollars on that van, and the fact that our fund-raiser took less than 1 day to complete, nobody'll trust them that they need 32K again; they'll think it's a scam." Rita says.
"So, what are we gonna do?" Lynn Sr. asks.
"Hm..." Lisa thinks, "I have an idea that'll help us..."
She laughs, creepily as everybody gets frightened; knowing that what she has in the store is very risky.
Very risky.
There's Chapter 13.
See you later.
