No one's POV
"Welcome to your new home innocent one." Toriel said. They were in a room with six buttons. Two of them in the middle of the other four and had lighter color floor. The next doorway was blocked by a door that needed to be activated by a lever. So you have to press the right buttons then hit the lever so the door will open. "Allow me to educate you in the operation of the Ruins." Toriel walked over the four buttons surrounding the middle ones and she hit the lever. The door opened. "The Ruins are full of puzzles. Ancient fusions between diversions and doorkeys. One must solve them to move from room to room. Please adjust yourself to the sight of them." Toriel said and they walked through the doorway.
The next room had a long path way, so bridges over water, a sign, two switches ahead, and spikes at the end of the hall. "To make progress here, you will need to trigger several switches. Don't worry. I have labelled the ones that you need to flip." Toriel said. Yukari quickly flipped the first switch then Toriel walked ahead.
Yukari rushed to the other switch. Now this wall had two switches. One labelled and one not. Yukari accidentally hit the wrong one. "Wow! You're super fast at being wrong." a voice said. Only Yukari can hear it. Well, maybe not just her.
"Gee, thanks Toby Fox." She muttered under her breath and hit the right switch and the spikes went down.
"Splendid! I'm proud of you, little one. Now let's move to the next room."
Next room was small. Just a dummy stood there. "You're doing quite well my child." Toriel smiled. "Now if you're going to stay down here with me, there are a few things you'll have to learn. So perhaps I can give you a... Tu-Toriel!" She laughed. Yukari sighed.
'Sans has taught you too much.' she thought.
"You see, because it's my name and..." Toriel cleared her throat. "Anyway, many monsters you meet in underground may wish to harm you of block your way. But if you merely talk to them, you will find there is no conflict you can't escape. Go ahead! Practice talking to this dummy."
Yukari walked up to it and the whole fight sequence happened again. "Um..." Yukari said. What are you supposed to say to a dummy? "So... how's life?" she asked. The dummy didn't respond. It didn't seem much a talker. Toriel seemed happy. So she gained 0 XP and 0 Gold.
"Very good! The next room awaits us."
Next room- actually, you know what? Meanwhile with Akari. The world that isn't Undertale.
"Hey Akari." Kunihiko said. "How long will Yukari be gone?" They sent her there. How interesting.
"Depends. She'll call me of she needs help." Akari said "Besides, since I'm a author, I can watch her every move. And so far... this is taking too long. Why are there so many puzzles!?" she screamed.
"Can't you time skip? Or write this without so much detail?" Suki yelled from the other room.
"Oh yeah, I can." she laughed. And with that, back to Undertale. About a few rooms later, Toriel had to leave Yukari. She told her not to leave but hey, teenagers never listened in the first place. She gave her a phone but she didn't really need it. She already had one.
"Hey." She said. "Flowey. I know you're following me." She turned around. Flowey was at the end of the hallway. He went into the ground then popped up in front of Yukari.
"I really can't get passed you, huh?" He said. His music was quietly playing. You see, all the monsters have their own music. So when ever they fight, their music plays.
"Nope. I'm not fighting you when I have 1 HP." Yukari scowled.
"Like you have a choice." He said and the fight sequence happened.
Flowey circled Yukari with bullets just like he did in the last chapter. But the same thing happened. That black sphere saved her. She also kept sparing him so her HP didn't go up. She's already at LV 3 after all.
"Why won't you die!?" He screamed and tried to hit her again, but a wall of black blocked the bullets. "That stupid black material keeps protecting you!"
The black wall disappeared and Yukari spared him. "How would I know?" She moved out of the way from another five bullets. "I don't even know why my souls like this. Or why the dialogue is different. Or why the black stuff keeps protecting me." She said. She decided this was pointless and fled from the fight. The fight sequence ended and she went to the next room.
The next room would've had a save point, but again, no DETERMINATION for her. She walked into a small room with some monster candy and a sign that said take one. Even though she would've took one to be nice, she took two and ate another one. She healed and was now at 11 HP. "I'm never going to survive like this..." she muttered. She looked back behind her to see Flowey was gone. Now you see, the Ruins are way to long for me to write. And I'm too lazy to write EVERY SINGLE PUZZLE. So let's skip to the halfway mark of the Ruins. Which I think is the fight with Napstablook.
"How am I still alive?" Yukari sighed. It really was hard without DETERMINATION. She walked up to a pile of leaves and saw a Ghost. And a Ghost who was saying "Zzzzz" a lot pretending to be asleep. "Here goes nothing..." She said and tried to move it with force. Fight sequence! Napstablook's theme started to play.
"Shit..." Yukari said. She had to think of something. She tried to cheer him on. "Um... You're amazing Napstablook!" she cheered. "Don't feel so bad about yourself!" Napstablook smiled a bit.
"Thank you..." He said. He looked a little bit better. You see his attacks are his tears. Which is super depressing when you think about it.
Yukari moved around to avoid the tears. There were some of his attacks that were easy to dodge and some that were going to lower her HP anyway because when I played it, I couldn't dodge that god damn tear attack! Fuck! Oh, um, anyway, Yukari tried cheer him again. You see, the fight sequences work like this: She can do whatever she wants since she doesn't have everything the player does in the game. But whatever she does, it's basically like she hit the button except she didn't. If she were to walk away from a fight, it's like she hit the mercy button and fled. Make since? Good. Now back with the fight.
She told him a little joke. "Why are Ghost so bad at telling lies? Because we can see right through them." She awkwardly laughed. "Okay, that was pretty bad."
"Heh heh..." He laughed a bit. He seemed to like it anyway.
His next attack wasn't even a attack. It was just the words "Really not feelin up to it right now. Sorry." It was thankfully getting easier.
'Cheering seems to have improved Napsta's mood again.' Yukari thought. She cheered him again. This is literally how the fight goes in the pacifist run! So it'll take a while for everything to fall into place.
Yukari gave him a patient smile and Napstablook wanted to show her something. It really is hard to stick to the dialogue of this game.
"Let me try..." Napstablook's tears floated upwards and created a top hat. "I call it a 'Dapper Blook'. Do you like it...?" He eagerly waited for her response.
"It looks great!" She gave him a thumbs up. The music stopped her her soul disappeared. Did I forget to mention that her soul only appears when she fights. Plus it disappears when the fight is over? I did. Well now I just mentioned it! Who cares!
"I usually come to the ruins because nobody is around. But today I met somebody nice..." They stood (or Napsta floated) in silence. "Oh... I'm rambling again. I'll get out of your way." he disappeared.
"It was nice meeting you Napsta." Yukari said. She walked into the next room. It was small and definitely wasn't the right room. There were two cobwebs with spiders and some treats in the web. A flyer for a spider bake sale was also in the web. Yukari took out some of the little gold she had and put 7 gold into the first web. One of the spiders gave her a donut.
"Heals 12 HP... Better save it for the fight with Muffet though. But thank you." Yukari smiled at the spiders and walked out of the room. Okay, I'm going to the very end of the ruins. We gotta get to goat mom.
Yukari walked down a path way and past a giant tree. And walked into a small room and saw a toy knife. "Huh. Guess I was soul who had Patience died here in the ruins. That's kinda sad." The soul patience is light blue. Each of the six souls had something. So Patience has a toy knife and a faded ribbon. She already got the faded ribbon; I just didn't write it. So I'm guessing that's where she died. But I do wonder; who carries a toy knife around with them? Anyway, Yukari picked up the knife and stored it in her pocket. She wasn't going to use it. But she was going to keep it. She walked back and stood in front of the old tree. She could hear Toriel's voice talk to herself.
"Oh dear, that took longer than I thought." Toriel walked to the side of the tree and called Yukari. Yukari's phone rang and got Toriel's attention. She ran over to Yukari who had a lot of bruises on her. "How did you get here, my child? Are you hurt? Who did this to you? You will get a apology."
"No, it's fine Toriel." Yukari said. "I probably shouldn't have left anyway."
"No my child, I should not have left you alone for so long. It was irresponsible to try and surprise you like this." Toriel laughed awkwardly. "Err... Well, I suppose I cannot hide it any longer. Come small one." Toriel led Yukari to her small house in the ruins. It looks quite... peaceful.
They both walked inside. Behind Toriel was a staircase leading to her basement, a hallway to the right, and a room to the left. "Surprise! It is a Butterscotch-cinnamon pie. I thought I might celebrate your arrival." Toriel smiled. "I want you to have a nice time living here. So I will hold off on snail pie tonight. Her I have another surprise for you." Toriel walked to the hallway to the right and Yukari followed behind goat mom.
"This is it." Toriel held her hand and they both walked over to the first room in this hallway. "A room of your own. I hope you like it!" She rubbed her head.
"Is something burning...?" Toriel said but then realized it was the pie. "Um, make yourself at home!" she said as she ran off. Yukari cracked the door open and saw a room that was all red.
"Huh. Maybe I should have come in here when I played the game... The color scheme is cool." Yukari looked around the small room. A lot of childish things were in this room, but it was still cozy. She turned the light off and crawled into the small bed. It was just a bit too small for her sleep in it, but it's better than nothing. When she woke up, Butterscotch-cinnamon pie was sitting on a plate on the ground front of her bed. Yukari got up and put it in her pockets.
"Video games always have the largest pockets... Well whatever. It heals all my HP when I need it." Yukari walked out of her room and into the left side of Toriel's house. Toriel was sitting in a chair near the fireplace, reading a book. Yukari walked up to goat mom and tapped her hand.
"Up already, I see." Toriel looks up from her book with a smile. "Um, I want you to know how glad I am to have someone here. There are so many old books I want to share. I want to show you my favorite bug-hunting spot."
"That sounds very nice but—" Yukari started but was cut off.
"I've also prepared a curriculum for your education. This may be a surprise to you... But I've always wanted to be a teacher... Actually perhaps that isn't that surprising. Still, I'm glad to have you living here. Oh, did you want something? What is it?"
"Um..." Yukari shuffled her feet a bit. Man, Toriel can talk about a lot without taking a breath.
"First of all, I'm actually surprised you found a way to set up a curriculum for my education so quickly. And second of all... How do I exit the ruins? Please let me go home. I know you're lonely in the ruins but I belong above Underground..."
"I..." Toriel didn't say anything. "I have to do something." She stood up and walked passed Yukari.
"Damn it. Toriel is going to the basement. There is no way I will survive this. Welp, I better get going." Yukari said and followed Toriel down into the basement. "I better heal up..." she muttered and ate her other monster candy. She healed 10 HP and is now at 21 HP. Better than 11 HP at least.
Toriel stopped walking for a second but didn't face Yukari. "You wish to know how to return "home," do you not? Ahead of us lies the end of the ruins. A one-way exit to the rest of the Underground. I'm going to destroy it. No one will ever leave be able again. Now be a good child and go upstairs." Toriel kept walking. She stopped again about five minutes later.
"Every human who falls down here meets the same fate. I have seen it again and again. They come. They leave. They die. You naive child... if you leave the ruins... They, Asgore, will kill you. I'm only protecting you, do you understand? Go to you room." Toriel walked again. Now they were even closer to the exit. One turn around the corner and straight on is the exit.
"Do not try to stop me. This is your final warning." Toriel said. Yukari sighed. 'I'm gonna die.' she thought.
"You want to leave so badly? Hmph. You're just like the others. There is only one solution to this. Prove yourself... Prove to me that you're strong enough to survive. Yukari's soul appeared and Toriel's music started to play.
"Woah!" Yukari dodged fire Toriel was throwing at her. "I forgot I was never good at dodging in the game!" Yukari said as she ducked under some fire.
"Well... you could still turn back and we can finish that pie." Toriel said as she prepared a magical attack.
"Please Toriel. I understand your concern for me if I leave the ruins, but I have a family above the surface. I need to be there for them." Yukari said. And dodged again. She got hit a little and lost 6 HP. She was now at 15 HP. "Seriously? Okay, yep, I'm gonna die."
"Why can't you just be happy? It's not safe for a child out there alone!" Toriel said tears forming in her eyes.
"This is different... Toriel doesn't have lines in this fight." Yukari muttered. Fire came her way and she didn't have the time to react. She put her hands up and a wall of that black material protected her again. "Okay... I think I get it... If I don't want to die, this black thing protects me." The black wall disappeared. "No time to think about it now!" Yukari dodged again. Toriel was quiet for the rest of the battle. Which was surprising that she had lines in this anyway,
"Toriel... please..." Yukari said out of breath. She was at 11 HP again. Toriel attacked her again and Yukari made that sphere thing around her. Except this time, it was pointless. Toriel's attacks missed her. She stood in the middle as fire was shot at her sides. "Attack or run away!" Toriel said. Her attacks still missing Yukari. Yukari got rid of that sphere and stood there. "What are proving with this?" Toriel said. "Fight me or leave!"
"Toriel. I refuse to fight you." Yukari said. The same attack went on for about five more times.
"I know you want to go home, but... but please... go upstairs now." Toriel stopped attacking.
Yukari sighed and said "I refuse to fight you. But I also refuse to go back upstairs." She spared Toriel.
"I promise I will take good care of you here. I know we do not have much, but..." Toriel took a deep breath. "We can have a good life here."
Yukari stood there and spared her again.
"Why are you making this so difficult?" Toriel frowned. "Please, go back upstairs."
"I refuse. Please let me leave." Yukari spared her. They stood in silence till Toriel talked again.
"Haha... Pathetic, is it not? I can't even save a single child." Toriel said. Yukari spared her again. Not much to do anyway. The fight sequence ended and her soul disappeared. 'This was... way too early to end the fight. Weird.'
"No, I understand. You'd just be unhappy trapped down here. The ruin get very small once you get used to them. It would not be right for you to grow up in a place like this." Yukari sighed in relief.
"My expectations... my loneliness... my fears... for you I'll put them aside. But if you truly wish to leave the ruins, I will not stop you. However, when you leave, please don't come back. I hope you understand." Toriel said and hugged Yukari.
"I understand." Yukari hugged back. Toriel let go of Yukari and walked past her.
"Goodbye, my child." she said and walked to the hall way back upstairs. She looked back at Yukari but turned back and walked away down the hall.
"No going back now..." Yukari said and pushed the door that led out of the ruins. And you know what she saw? Another long hallway!
"God damn it!" She screamed.
To be continued...
I got some explaining to do. The reason the other story is called "Miraitale" on Yukari's book is because she was a Mirai Nikki OC. I won't be changing the name though because the story line will say that she has played Undertale, letting her know the future. Which Mirai means "Future" so it works. Also Yukari's parts are the only ones that have change of POV's. Also her powers were originally going to be Sakura's but I guess it's now Yukari's. This is going to be way more interesting than I thought. I don't own Undertale or the characters. And this is going off the game with a few touches of my own!
