Hello everyone konoha 2nd demon here, and with another chapter of Jaune arc, the gamer of remnant. I don't still don't own rwby, the songs, or some/most of the elements, the only thing I own is the fanfic idea. All the content here goes to the rightful and respected owner(s). and the poll for me whether I should split Salem and Ozpin into a good human pair and evil grimmified pair is still up but closing soon
Team RWBY, my team and I were in our dorm waiting for us to be called down to the amphitheater for us to pick a mission. I was double checking that warhammer and minotaur were cloaked and at Vale ready to open fire at the grimm in case the breach happens alongside the Crusader. Ruby was doing weapons check and everyone else was checking their gear. Yang walked into the room with a cylindrical container and said "looks dad send us mail Rubes", Ruby then jumped onto Yang's back with her legs wrapped around her waist as she tried to get the package but sadly it was out of her reach.
Yang then shook the parcel open and out came a black furry roll. The roll then began to jumped and shake until a corgi was in the roll's place. All the girls squealed and jumped in joy, ruby then shouted out "Zwei", the girls then begin to pet and Zwei was enjoying every moment of it. I then walked up and begin to pet him and said "good to see you again Zwei, have you been a good boy", Zwei then barked in reply and let his tongue out as I petted him. We then heard the announcement for us to go and get our mission. We were all walking when Ruby was next to me and I saw her with a backpack, I then turn and said "you're smuggling Zwei in that bag aren't you".
Ruby blushed and said "well that was how I originally did it so I don't see why I shouldn't change that", I couldn't refute with that logic. Weiss then said "what's the chance that we are going to fight White fang members", I then gave her a look that said 'are you serious'. Blake then said "I still can't believe what they took part in the fall of beacon", I then embraced her and said "don't worry, we won't let them get away with it, especially since their plans and we got some insurance in the shape of a army". Yang wrapped her arm around Blake's shoulder and reassured her "yea Blake, both you and I as well as anyone else here knows we are ready for them". Jaune then said "yea especially since I may have Tipped off Ironwood where the white fang were hiding some paladins and he sent soldiers to retrieve them".
We had arrived to the Amphitheater and we listened to professor Ozpin's speech but we weren't really paying attention but soon it was finished. We then went to the mission board and we saw the search and destroy mission at Mount Glenn. We were then getting ready to go to the bullhead when we saw team CFVY.
"hey Coco, what's up", I then shouted as we walked towards. Coco and her team turned to see us, and began to wave to us. Velvet then said "hey guys, what's new", I then said "well you guys are a week late from your mission, is everything ok". Velvet brushed it off and said "yea, there was just so many grimm there, but you first-years would be ok". I then turned smug and said "these 'first-years' saved your team's ass remember Vel". Coco then said "well we would like to talk more but we're going to go eat and unwind", we all said our goodbyes and we saw doctor Oobleck waiting for us, "ah teams RWBY and JNPR, glad to see you're here, now shall we get on our way". We all said "yes sir", we all took our seats and enjoyed the ride to Mount Glenn.
I was looking out the window and asked "doctor Oobleck, I see a large group of Beowulfs around an area perfect for the pilot to drop us off at, permission to engage". Oobleck looked and said "yes Mr. Arc, I believe that is an adequate dropping zone, do you believe you can handle those grimm, or would you require assistance". I popped my neck and said "I am more than capable doctor", I then jumped out of the bull head before I began to focus fire through my hands and feet allowing me to control my fall and glide before I finally landed onto the ground and I then saw I was surrounded by grimm.
I then unsheathed my swords and started to hack away at the grimm, I saw I was still surrounded so I decided to perform a lightning fall by thrusting my swords into the ground before focusing lightning energy into them. The lightning began electrocute the grimm to death, a lone surviving Beowulf leaped onto me while my back was turned and when I was about to use my swords to defend, the Beowulf had been shot through the head. I looked at the bullhead and saw ruby using crescent rose in sniper mode to kill the last one, I did a two finger salute in gratitude.
The bullhead began to land and the rest of my friends and Oobleck began to disembark and to scan the area. I walked to ruby and said "thanks for sniping that Beowulf Rubes", ruby then laughed a little and with a smirk said "no problem Jaune". Doctor Oobleck then said "ladies and gentlemen, you may be still be students but as you took your first steps outside of the bullhead, your mission as huntsmen and huntresses has begun; you are to follow my directions, am I understood". Everyone and I nodded our heads before Oobleck turned to Ruby, "Ruby, I believe I told all eight of you to leave your bags back at school". Ruby scratched her head and replied "yes but you hadn't told us to listen to you yet, so I didn't". Oobleck simply answered "I guess you have a point, simply leave it here in which on our point of return we shall", ruby then began to stammer a counter but Zwei had popped out.
Everyone looked surprised or pretended to be, I then decided to intervene "Ruby did you bring the cute little corgi who I saw bite the throat out of an Ursa major", I then gave her a thumbs up, "good call, please since we are going to be tracking a group of unknown assailants, having a dog sniff them out will be beneficial". Oobleck replied "these are very true assumptions Mr. Arc" he then turn to Ruby and said "well done Ms. Rose, recruiting an efficient ally for a mission is a great tactical maneuver". Ruby blushed and shrug off the compliment, and all of us then began to walk before we were ambushed by a pack of Beowulfs.
Doctor Oobleck began to ask us what was our reasons for becoming huntsmen and huntresses. Yang had answered "I have always been a thrill seeker but I want to be a huntress due to my past traumatic experience of a pack of Beowulfs when I was a child, I want to make no child will have a traumatic experience like that if I am able to prevent it". Weiss had answered "I may have been able to do great things at atlas or when I take over the company, but I am going to prove that I am more than another Schnee, I will carve my own path as my Grandfather did when he started the company". Blake answered "my reasons is try to fix as much the strain relations between human and faunus, I am aware that I cannot do that alone but I am not alone anymore, I will help prove that a faunus is just as capable of a human". Ren had answered for him and Nora with, "my drive is the same as Nora's, to be protectors, to save families, to prevent as many children from losing their parents and loved ones as possible". Pyrrha answered with "all my life from my first victory in tournaments I have been only one thing, a celebrity. My status had been a burden and many had believe that I thought of myself too good for others, as a huntress, a protector of the people I will prove them wrong".
We have been fighting all day and afternoon, soon it had become dark so we decided to set up camp in an abandoned 15 story building. We found a building which we determine structurally sound to set up camp on the 8th floor. I had Nora plant some remote detonated bombs by the main entrance in case if grimm pack entering here while I created some stone golems to camouflage and keep eyes out for us. Ren had made a campfire to provide us with warmth. I had taken out some pack meals out of inventory for us to eat along with some tea. Doctor Oobleck had complimented skills of setting up the camp and for our resourcefulness in traps.
"excellent work everyone, an textbook fire along with extra precautions not taught at school, now who wishes to take first watch", Oobleck had asked us. I volunteered to take first watch, I begin to use my falcon vision skill to take sweeps of the area. I was scanning the area for about 3 hours when I spotted some white fang members, I then turned to my friends and whistled to get their attention. "hey heads up, we have enemies, white fang, about 500 meters northwest of us" I told them.
Doctor Oobleck said "well done students, now that we know that our enemies are indeed in this vicinity, we are going to see where they do next". I then said "I still have eyes on them, they are going to a small building", the white fang members knocked on a door and were let inside, "they entered a small building but I was able to see it was a staircase going down, so I think they're underground".
Doctor Oobleck then led us to the entrance, we were almost there when the floor began to crack. We all jumped back as the floor caved in, but luckily we were able to avoid falling in. I was securing a rope before I turned to Nora and said "toss in some black smoke grenades". Nora threw about 4 canisters, and I rappelled down and took out the responding white fang members which were really only 2 people. I pulled on the rope 4 times which I told them was the all clear signal. Everyone then rappelled down before readying their weapons, I took point while using my seismic sense every 10 feet to make sure we don't get lost or ambushed.
"Hurry up you mutts, we need to get this train ready as soon as possible", I then told everyone to hold before we sneaked as soon as we heard that. I turn to them and said "looks like its Torchwick and some white fang members, what do you suggest we do doctor". Oobleck told us that we need to capture Torchwick and stop as many white fang members as possible.
I turned to Nora and said "Nora, I need you to send about 4 more smoke grenades then we all attack". Nora took lead before she began to smoke them out while the rest of us charged in and began to fight the white fang grunts. Ruby the shouted "the train is moving", once the words were uttered we sprinted to the train just barely able to get on before it got away.
We were on top of the train cars maintaining our balance as best we could due to us being on top of a speeding train. I open up a hatch on top of the cart we were on, only to see a bomb. "guys, we need to get off, we got a bomb", after I said that, I saw the timer turn on, "and it just armed itself". "students jump onto the next car, Mr. Arc cut the train's connector", we all jumped and I was about to slice the connector, it detached by itself.
"it detached itself doctor", Oobleck then began to search the next few cars only to discover they each had bombs. "oh this not good, this is very terrible, all these cars have bombs". We all turn around when he heard an explosion and saw a hole in the ceiling before grimm jumped down and started to follow us. I then said "oh shit, they're herding grimm, and if I remember right at the end of this tunnel is the city of Vale, they are going to make a grimm invasion".
Doctor Oobleck replied, "an excellent observation Mr. Arc, we must stop this train". "get the humans", we turned around and saw white fang members climbing onto the cars and coming towards us. A male deer faunus tried to hit Yang but she was able to block it before she performed an uppercut which lifted him off the air only to receive a fist to the stomach sending him flying.
Oobleck said "Ms. Valkyrie, Ms. Rose, and Mr. Ren; you three will assist me to combat the white fang here; the rest of you, go inside and attempt to stop this train. Pyrrha, Weiss, Yang, Blake, and I jumped inside. "Pyrrha, you and Weiss take out the chainsaw lieutenant; Blake, you and Yang got Neo, I got Roman so that way we send him straight to one of our ships and away from Atlas ships, now let's go", I said as I made our plan crystal clear.
We entered one of the cargo cars where we saw a white fang member with a full-face grimm mask, and wielding a chainsaw sword, "finally I get the honor of killing a Schnee". Weiss and Pyrrha stepped forward and said "you guys go, we can handle this guy". Pyrrha and Weiss charged to fight the lieutenant while the rest of us slipped past them. Yang, Blake, and I went to the car behind the engine car; we were on alert when Neo tried to attack us only to have her attack blocked by Blake. Yang then tried to punch neo but for her to dodge her attacks; Blake looked at me and said "Jaune, go, we got this".
I start running towards the engine car but not before I threw a grenade, that I had Nora make for me just in case, at Neo to make her dodge out of the way but only to get punched by Yang. I got into the engine car before I got ambushed by two white fang grunts armed with swords. I was able to take care of them by using both of my swords and knocking them unconscious before I had to perform a side roll to dodge a flare that Roman had shot at me. I then charged at Roman with my swords out, ready to take him down.
Weiss and Pyrrha were fighting against the lieutenant still. Pyrrha was fighting him one on one while Weiss was performing glyphs around him. "now" Weiss yelled as she was on one of her glyphs parallel from the ground before she shot like a rocket performing slash attacks and ricocheting off the glyphs as she did. Pyrrha was using her semblance to halt the chainsaw's blade causing the motor to ceasing working. The lieutenant tried to charge but was caught in a glyph that froze him up to his stomach with his arms frozen too; Pyrrha then shield bashed him in the face knocking him out.
Blake and Yang were fighting Neo whom was very slippery in the beginning. Neo had dodged all of Yang's attacks by moving her body so they barely missed her while mocking Yang. Blake was then finally able to use gambol shroud's ribbon to bind her to swing her to Yang to punch her with a semblance enhanced punch. Neo was launched towards the wall of the train car, Blake was able to bind her hands behind her back, her legs together, and the her hands and legs together.
I was facing against Torchwick, he was shooting flares at me as I charged at him. He attempted to hit me on head with his weapon but I used my right elucidator before thrusting my left one at him. I unleashed a flurry of sword swipes at him which he attempted to block only to miss some of them. I then performed a kick to the stomach that hurled him into the controls of the train. 'fuck, I guess the breach is happening', I then used some magnetic wire cuffs that I got from Ironwood to tie him up before I knocked him out.
I then lifted him over my shoulder and took him to the train car where I saw Yang and Blake with an unconscious Neo. I bound them with more wire to the train car with them unable to move their limbs more than a few inches. Everyone else came to the car and I said "bad news, the train controls were busted in my fight with Torchwick, so we are going to have a messy stop". Weiss then created an ice dome to protect which I used my reinforcement skill, not even 10 seconds later, we took a huge crash. We escaped the train only to see us in the center of Vale before we heard the sirens of a grimm attack, the screams of civilians, and the growling of the grimm. We all faced where the majority of the grimm were coming out and deployed our weapons ready to fight.
That is the end of this chapter. Also sorry for the long wait but I have been busy with both personal/medical crap. Also I am working on another Jaune gamer fanfic but this one without the future knowledge or shitload of call of duty stuff.
