Yugi's Pov
There was a quiet murmur about Atem's ruling, even though he hadn't officially said what was to happen yet.
"I have decided, the Prince of Rome shall be banished from ever returning to Egypt, he is to return to his own home, his own family, I shall also be travelling with him to speak to the Roman council, in great lengths about what has been happening." Atem ruled, I looked up at him in shock
"My Pharaoh are you sure? Would it not be better suited as one of your council to go in your place?" Seto asked, Atem shook his head
"I am more than capable of travelling by myself, guards Release the Roman Prince and escort him to a guest room, he shall be staying a few days until I am prepared to leave myself." Atem ordered, the guards nodded, and the Prince was quickly out of the chains and heading out of the room with the two guards escorting him
"Atem are you sure this is such a good idea? What of the Roman Emperor?" Seto asked
"I shall be taking guards with me, and the Emperor shall be returning to Rome as well, to suffer the fate of the council." Atem responded, I sighed, feeling slightly annoyed and angry, I looked towards the window
"And what of your Betrothed? Your very pregnant betrothed, who could indeed give birth in the time that you are away." Isis asked
"Yugi." Atem said
"You could have at least thought about it and discussed it with me first before making a rash decision."
"It's not a rash decision Yugi." Atem responded, I turned my head to look at him, only to see him frowning
"Isn't it? You didn't discuss it with me, your advisor or any of your council, the people you should discuss these things with before making a choice." He frowned at me, before turning his head away
"We'll talk about this later." He said in a tone, which ended the conversation, I glared at the side of his head and let go of his hand
"Then you can finish this meeting without me." Atem turned his head sharply towards me
"Yugi-" I shook my head
"I'm too angry to sit here next to you any longer, Honda, will you please escort me back to my chambers?" Honda looked at me and the glanced at Atem
"Of course, Prince Yugi." Honda responded
((Yugi, I said to you that I would be having great words in length with the roman council))
(But that doesn't mean you have to do it now! I'm pregnant for Ra sake, it's a two month trip to Rome and you know it, that would take me into my fourth month of being pregnant and you know a male pregnancy is only five months long, you wouldn't arrive back until after the baby was born, by at least a few weeks, do you really think I want to be on my own for that long?)
((This isn't just about you Yugi, there are other lives at stake, and it is my responsibility to look after them all, so for once, could please stop thinking about yourself and think of the other people I've got to look out for))
(Fine then, I'll think about my Baby and my family in Japan, that as of this moment I have half a mind to go there and not come back!) I then slammed the link closed and stood from my throne. Then I left the throne room, ignoring Atem's shouting for me, I didn't even look to see if Honda was following me.
I stormed away from the throne room, I could feel hot tears falling down my face as I walked all the way to the stables and straight over to pen where Koi was, I stepped inside and Koi immediately came over and gently butted his nose against my stomach, I giggled through my tears and patted his head
"Hello Koi, it's been a while hasn't it?" Koi bowed his head and raised it, nudging his nose against my cheek "Shall we go for a ride?" Koi Bowed his head in a yes motion, I laughed and wiped away my tears. I walked over to where his saddle and reigns were and chose to put the saddle on first, I lifted it up and turned back to Koi who had laid down on the floor, making it easier to get the saddle on his back. Once it was on his back, I stepped back and Koi got back to his feet, I then fastened the buckle of the saddle under his belly.
Once I had finished with the saddle, I picked up his reigns, when I turned back to face Koi, I saw that he had bowed his head and was waiting for me to put them on him. As fast as I could manage, I quickly put his reigns on his head, then I spotted a cloak that was left on a hook in Koi's stable, I grabbed it and put it on, whilst Koi laid back down on the floor. I climbed onto Koi's back and he stood back up, I then guided him out of the stable and out of the palace grounds, without anyone stopping me, it was then that I realised, Honda hadn't followed me. I sighed and then nudged Koi to go faster, wanting to get away from the palace for a little while.
-Two Hours Later -
It was a while later, judging by the position Ra's sun was in, I guess it had been about Two hours since I left the palace without telling anyone, I sighed and looked towards the oasis that Koi had brought me to, I stood next to Koi as he took a drink from the oasis
"I suppose we should head back, I'm sure they're wondering where we've got to." Koi huffed and moved away from the water, only to lay down, I climbed onto his back and too a hold of his reigns, it was then he stood back up, I lent closer to his head and said, "Take me home Koi." Koi huffed and shot off running, I kept tight hold of the reigns and thought about the Mind Link that had been closed for the length of time I had been away from Atem, I sighed and opened the Link back up, only to receive an onslaught of messages that Atem had sent my way
((Yugi, come back to the throne room!))
((Yugi where are you? You stormed off without Honda and now he can't find you))
((Yugi, I can't even find you and I've searched this enter Palace, where are you?!))
((Yugi, seriously, I'm really worried now, it's been an hour, no-one has seen you and Isis can't find you through the Millennium Eye, please just tell me where you are!))
((I've sent guards to search the docks, thinking you might have been really serious and taken off for Japan, but you didn't take any of your things))
((Yugi Please! You're really scaring me now, I don't know where you are and neither do the guards, or anyone else for that matter, please open the link and let me know you're okay))
((Yugi, it's been two hours now, and I'm starting to think that you really may have left me, I'm sorry, I'm really sorry Aibou, you were right I shouldn't have made such a rash decision without talking to anyone first, and I definitely shouldn't have told you to stop thinking about yourself, I was so far out of line by saying that to you and I really shouldn't….heh…when I told Seto what we were saying in our Mind Link, he told me he wouldn't be surprised if you left me and never came back, what I said to you was hurtful and wrong, and I never should have said it, I'm sorry, I really am, I don't blame you if you do want to leave me, but will you please just at least let me know you're safe))
I sighed, and flicked the reigns in my hand urging Koi to go faster
(Honestly, I leave you alone for two hours and you start to think the worst of me, by Ra, what am I going to do with you?)
((Yugi! Are you alright? Are you safe? Where are you?))
((Yes Atem, I'm fine, I'm still angry at you by the way)
((And you have every right to be, but will you at least tell me where you are, or where you've been?))
(I went out for ride on Koi, he took me to an oasis and now we are heading back to the palace.)
((You had me so worried))
(Well, you pissed me off) I felt him pause for a moment
((Well, I guess I deserve that))
(You guess? You really hurt me Atem, you didn't even think about me or our baby, or even your own country before making that decision, and I'm going to guess that you're still planning on going)
((I'm not so sure about that now, Seto has said that he would o in my place to make sure it's all dealt with properly, I think I just need to have a long, long think about it and reassess my decision))
(Yeah, it think you do, look I can see the gates of the palace, I'll be back soon.)
