When Sonny wakes up again, the peaceful quiet has covered their home like a warm blanket. No birds are chirping outside, nor is there a trash truck driving down the street. The sunlight gives off a strange glow, so he takes a deep breath, trying to place what's different.
Sonny looks down at Will, warm and fast asleep, cheek pushed against Sonny's bicep. There's just a small bit of drool from Will's mouth, but Sonny's not too bothered by it. In fact, Sonny's actually tempted to grab his phone and snap a photo for future blackmail.
Instead, he throws off the covers, shuffling across the floor still half sleep. Braces himself on the window ledge, as he pulls back the curtain.
"Will!" Will stirs, always able to hear Sonny's voice, even when unconscious. "Will, wake up, wake UP!"
"Jesus, Sonny." Will's voice is slightly gruff, coming out from under the covers like thunder.
Sonny knows that serious tone like the back of his hand. But instead of it putting him off, Will's whine actually stirs up something inside him. The low rumble is familiar to Sonny, and Sonny takes a deep breath as he watches Will start to slowly wake up, all other thoughts temporarily forgotten. Before it even registers he's moving, Sonny's already back in bed, nose up against Will's shoulder blade. Will's sweat damp skin smells comforting, like he's coming home, smells like how much Sonny loves him. Will never stop loving him.
Will's still playful as he keeps pouting, rubbing his sleep deprived face into the pillows. "I'm not letting you sleep in my room anymore if you keep waking me up every morning like a psychopath. My alarm is better than you screeching like a freaking red tailed hawk…"
Sonny laughs, knowing it'll just push Will's buttons more, as he throws a leg over Will's ass, landing heavily on Will's back, like they're still young and several pounds lighter, fooling around in bed. Will makes some kind of noise, moaning, then makes a few pathetic attempts at trying to move away. Which Sonny simply isn't gonna stand for.
"Will, please." The plea comes out way too desperate for Sonny's liking, considering he was going for a reprimand for all the squirming Will's doing. He clears his throat, trying to roll away so Will can actually breathe. Which makes Sonny wonder if Will can read his mind, because before Sonny can put any amount of distance between them, Will's shifting underneath him, moving onto his back. Sonny shifts as well, straddling Will's ridiculously pale thighs. Will's hands are warm and gentle, sliding to the top of Sonny's flanks, then all the way back down, grabbing Sonny's waist. He pushes his thumbs deep into Sonny's hipbones, eyes still closed.
Sonny leans forward, pressing small kisses against Will's cheek before he whispers, "Wakey wakey."
Will groans, shifting his hips under Sonny's ass. Sonny chooses to ignore Will's morning boner, despite how tempting it is. Then Will's eyes blink open, those insane ocean blues, and they're looking right at Sonny. "You're way too heavy to be sitting on me, Sonny."
"That's what she said." Sonny jokes, moving his hips just to screw with Will.
That gets Will to growl, and before Sonny knows it, he's the one on his back, with a very aggravated Will hovered over him. "You need to learn some manners."
Sonny shivers as Will looks down on him, groaning drowsily. "Damn, you're so hot." He presses his mouth against Sonny's, and Sonny opens up, wrapping his arms around Will's neck. His breath is sour from sleep, but Sonny couldn;t care less, opening his mouth and doing everything but begging for Will's tongue. Which succeeds in making Will pull back with a gasp, like he's been betrayed by his own body. "Jesus, how are you still able to crawl back under my skin so fast? And what did you wake me up for anyway?"
Sonny shakes his head, trying to will some of the blood in his dick away. "See for yourself." he whispers, with one more kiss on Will's lips before Will finally pushes him off.
Will does go to the window, the slowly forming smile he aims back at Sonny is all Sonny needs to see. "It's snowing."
"First of the year." Sonny agrees, pretending this isn't as important as it actually is. It's their first snow in their new home, in their new lives. Sonny's always loved snow--not shoveling it, but what it actually means, how it wipes everything clean with a white sheet.
"You are so lucky I'm working today." Will grumbles, trying so hard not to smile. He scratches his stomach as he takes it all in, then makes his way back to the bed. "Or we'd be having ourselves a snowball fight the likes of which the world has never seen."
"All talk and no play." Sonny teases, a little disappointed he also has work. He wishes more than anything he could just burrow back under the covers the entire morning, not just an hour or two. He'd love to take a shower at his own pace, eat a big breakfast, then play in the snow with Will in the afternoon.
Before, nobody really cared if they wanted to go out and play in the snow. But somehow, Sonny knows their bosses here wouldn't have the same sentiment.
