It is I! I am not dead, yet!

I know, not all of of the 1st person view chapters have been converted to 3rd person, but they will be, sooner or later.

At the beginning of this fic, I was experimenting with ideas on how to add to the plot and work towards the end, now that I think about it, the idea for Evan's lab is idiotic and thus, it will be removed in a rewrite of chapters 1-13 into 3rd person.

Man, it really is 2020, we made it to the 20's.

This fic has reached 10,600 views as of this chapter, wow.

Anyway, here is chapter 15! Sorry if it lacks quality.

Evan's home, 3:53PM

After washing the dishes and putting them away, as well as giving ViVi a gentle pat on the head for making lunch, Evan retired to his room to take a nap. He sighed as he changed into his PJ's and got in bed, ready to take his mind off reality. And so, Evan's world goes black.

? Later

Evan slowly opens his eyes and takes a look around his room. Wait, it's nighttime already? Oh man I slept for so long. He thinks as he gets up from his bed to turn on the lights, though he's startled by a shadowy figure next to him, staring at him.

"What the fu- Oh, is that you ViVi? What are you doing up this late?"

He gets no response from the figure, which is still staring at him. It doesn't have ViVi's body shape, it's more like a guy's- Oh don't tell me one of them came back for ViVi! Evan, now wide awake, gets an adrenaline jolt and gets ready to tackle the figure, but stops as it gently steps out of the shadows, revealing itself.

"...what the fuck?"

The figure happens to have a similar look to Evan's facial structure and body shape, the only differences are that it looks like it's mechanical, robotic, and its skin has a silver color to it. It also has some sort of thin armor on it. Evan is confused by this, so he once again asks it who it is, and it, to Evan's surprise, points to itself and then to Evan, proving Evan's theory that the figure maybe is him or just an interesting dream.

Evan doesn't get another opportunity to ask questions, for he wakes up once again, this time in the real world.

Evan's home, 5:12PM

Evan, now awake in the real world, gets up while rubbing his eyes. He's confused as to what just happened a few seconds ago, did he just have a false awakening? That could be it, but who was the figure that looked like him? Thinking it was just a dream, Evan decides to try and forget about it, knowing it doesn't have much importance right now.

He looks at his clock and sees it's 5:14PM, so he didn't sleep for too long after all. Evan stretches his arms for a few seconds, then gets up from bed, yawning as he does so.

He steps out of his room and turns to look at Suna's room's closed door. Don't worry Suna, you'll be back in my house before you know it, just please hang on for a bit longer. He silently encourages Suna to be a strong fox girl, then walks to the kitchen to make dinner, if ViVi hasn't beat him to it yet.

Evan hears the shower running from the bathroom as well as a certain dullahan's humming as she washes herself. He assumes ViVi hasn't made dinner, so he takes it upon himself to make it. Evan walks into the kitchen to prepare dinner for himself and his dullahan homestay.

Meanwhile with Jonathan Johnson. 5:33PM

After reviewing the footage of Suna's kidnapping and getting one of the criminal's names from the van's license plate, JoJo decides he has enough evidence to send two police officers to Wanker Pube's place. Quite the unfortunate name indeed, wonder if Mr. Pube's cronies have ridiculous names as well. No matter, JoJo will find out once he sends his police men to Mr. Pube's address and arrest him with evidence of him assisting in the kidnappping of a demihuman. But that'll have to wait until tomorrow, because JoJo goes home in 30 minutes.

Next Day

Evan's Home, 5AM

As usual, Evan wakes up and begins his day. He sighs as he walks out the door of his home, ready to tackle his shift

Jonathan Johnson's Home. 7AM

JoJo woke up at 7AM and begun his day like usual. He dresses up in his usual work clothes, gets in his car, and drives to the police station.

Police Station, 7:30AM

Planning how today is going to go, JoJo decides that as soon as more of his policemen start their shifts, he'll send three men to Wanker Pube's address and arrest him for assisting in the kidnapping of a demihuman, which broke the Interspecies Cultural Exchange treaties. Once that's done, he'll have experienced men break him into ratting out his friends and potentially giving the police the chance to save Suna. Once that's done, they'll notify Evan and have him pick up Suna as soon as the medics determine she's fit to go home. But first things first, a warm coffee is in order.

Police Station, 8:25AM

After looking over paperwork, scrolling through his computer, and casually going on the internet to see what's new, JoJo sets his plan in motion as his employees clock in to start their shifts, then walk into the locker rooms to dress up in their uniforms, and arming themselves with their standard-issue pistols. An usual day, but today will be special to this police station: They'll be able to solve their first kidnapping case.

8:33AM

JoJo goes on the intercom and asks for Brad, Johnny, and Abdul to report to his office immediately. Once they're in front of him, JoJo tells them what he called them in here for and if they're up to the task. The 3 men nod and Brad, while trying to muffle his laughter, says that they'll bring Wanker Pube here. With that, JoJo wishes them good luck, and the 3 men take their leave to begin the Rescue Suna mission

Meanwhile with the Brad, Johnny, and Abdul. 8:54AM

In their police car, the 3 men are discussing their plan on how to make sure this goes as smoothly as possible: Arrest Wanker Pube, yeet him in the back of the car, and drop him off at the station. Not too hard, they figured. Johnny, however, is excited to see a liminal for the first time. He's heard of them on TV and on the internet, and was thinking on taking in one liminal to his household. Maybe he'll take in a kobold, he's got the energy to keep up with one. After all, he physically trained to join the police force, a kobold shouldn't be too hard to take care of.

Anyway, they're nearing Pube's address. The trio park the car, get out, and make their way to Pube's front door. Though, not one foot in the yard and the trio can already hear porn blaring from somewhere in the house. Sweatdropping, they walk to the front door and knock on it.

Meanwhile with Evan. 8:56AM

Evan, while working as usual, couldn't help but think about that humanoid figure he dreamt not too long ago. Why does it look so familiar? Come on Evan, think. Where have you seen it. Then, it hit him.

Flashback.

"Hey guys, it's that nerdy Garcia kid over there!" a stereotypical bully mocked 11 year old Evan Garcia's love for computers and such related things. The bully's friends laughed with the bully. Young Garcia, knowing that replying back will only make the bullying worse, speedwalks away from them, into the empty computer room, where he feels it's a safe haven from his bullies.

However, the bottled up feelings from being bullied for so long burst, and he broke down in tears. Young Evan tried to cry as silently as possible but it proved too much and he brought his hands to his face to muffle himself. Kid Evan then feels something picking him up and placing him on something solid, yet comforting. He brought his hands down and found himself looking up at, from his point of view, a silvery mechanical child, softly petting his hair while giving him a lap pillow. Evan couldn't read any emotion on the child's face, yet he felt he was safe with it. He didn't know why, but he closed his eyes and let it comfort him.

Back in the present day.

Evan remembered, it was that figure that comforted him in his lowest point. "Never thought I'd see you again.."
