Omnipresent Narrator:

As Misty walks out in a brand new blue one-piece swimsuit, Remited and Nick tense up. She closes her eyes and snaps her fingers, and the three Sensational Sisters start jumping out of the water in synchronized dancing. Suddenly, intense battle music starts playing. Misty opens her eyes and holds up two Great Balls.

"ARE, YOU, READY?!"

The crowd roars in anticipation for the final battle, and lights starts flashing everywhere.

"THEN LET'S LET THE FINAL GYM BATTLE...COMMENCE!"

Misty throws out a Starmie and a Golduck. Nick sends out Charmy, despite the type disadvantage. Remited chooses Zenny again, and the final battle has begun! Misty does explain first how this one will work.

"This is turn based, yes. But, you can use the water to hide in, or to move around quicker. I will be doing the same! Now, show me what you can do!"

Nick has Charmy use Scratch on Starmie, and she deals 40 damage. Starmie responds by using a Surf to hit both Charmy and Zenny. Charmy nearly Faints, and Nick is forced to switch her out for Skylie. Remited points his hand at the Golduck, and Zenny tucks into his shell and uses Rapid Shell. This not only deals 50 damage to the Golduck, it makes it flinch so it doesn't get to attack. Then, Misty throws a Potion at Starmie to heal it. Then, Starmie uses Swift to attack both Zenny and Skylie. Skylie lands down on the logs, then Golduck uses Psychic to levitate her and toss her into the water. Zenny swims over to her, and picks the wounded Pidgeotto up. He puts her on his shell, and then they look at each other and nod. Suddenly, Skylie narrows her eyes and readies her beak. Zenny goes back into his shell, and uses Rapid Shell again. This time, though, the Rapid Shell allows Skylie to use Peck to faint Starmie. The two celebrate, and then Misty sends out a Goldeen in the water. Misty jumps in the water, and snaps her fingers. The log platforms get engulfed by more water, and start sinking. Then, Nick recalls Skylie, and sends out Sally.

"Sally! Use Poison Sting on the Golduck!"

It obeys, and deals the final 20 damage to Faint it. At the same time, Remited recalls Zenny, and sends out Spike. Now, brother and sister are fighting alongside each other. They look at each while paddling their legs, and nod. They turn to where Goldeen was, and are startled to see that she's not there.

"Now, Goldeen! Unleash the Dive!"

The Water-type slams up into Spike's stomach, sending him flying through the air. Sally cries out in surprise, and then gets furious. She looks at Nick, who has his face set in grim determination.

"Sally?"

The small blue Poison-type nods.

"..."

She looks back and sees Nick is thinking hard. He looks back up, and his jaw is set.

"Use Stomp!"

Sally nods, and jumps out of the water before slamming her feet on top of Goldeen, Fainting it. Misty recalls her Goldeen, and then the lights and music change to reflect how she is on her last Pokémon. She smiles, and throws it out.

"Go...Tentacruel!"

The Tentacruel bursts out of its Ball. It fires Poison Jets wildly to show off. But, they are about to hit Nick and Remited. They swim to the edge of the arena to try to dodge, but there are too many Jets. Then, Spike and Sally jump in front and take the attack. They both Faint. Our heroes recall them, and send out Acrobat, and Peckins.

"Use Peck!"

"Use Mega Drain!"

Peckins and Acrobat fly towards the Tentacruel and Peckins deals 20 damage while Acrobat deals 40. Tentacruel responds by firing a Hydro Pump. It slams into both Pokémon, and they fall into the water. Then, they manage to fly back up. But, Acrobat's wings fail him, and he starts to sink in the water. Suddenly, a bright glow surrounds Peckins, who is diving to grab his friend. He flies up, no longer a Spearow, but he has evolved into a Fearow! He holds an exhausted Acrobat in his talons. Remited recalls Acrobat to his Ball to let him rest, and Fearow is left to fight Tentacruel on his own.

"Peckins! Use Peck again!"

He flies towards Tentacruel, and stabs it in the face with his beak. Tentacruel gets mad and uses Water Pulse to deal a finishing blow to the still wounded Peckins. Nick nods, and climbs up out of the water, then goes offstage. He returns on top of Phoenix' back. Misty smiles, and then tosses a Super Potion to her Tentacruel to heal it back up to full. Phoenix flies around the room, and uses Sunny Day to strengthen the Sun's rays through the windows. The water evaporates a little, lowering the water level. Tentacruel uses Hydro Pump again, and misses! Phoenix then uses Solarbeam, and since a Sunny Day is up, it doesn't need a turn to charge. This Faints the Tentacruel, and the water disappears. Phoenix lands, and lets Nick slide off his back. Misty is impressed.

"I didn't think you two could do it! That was a fun and intense battle!"

Remited nudges Nick.

"Heh, just shows that we still have lots of training to do!"

The Three Sensational Sisters jump out of the water, as it recedes into a giant drain in the center stage.

"WE HAVE A WINNER!!"

Victory music starts playing and strobe lights are flashing as Nick, Phoenix, Melody, and Remited all stand and pose. The whole crowd erupts in cheers so loud, that the Sisters have to take a step back in surprise. Then, as the music dies down, Misty walks up to our heroes.

"As proof of your well-deserved victory, take this."

She holds two Cascade Badges out and Nick and Remited take them. They hold up the Badges and they sparkle. Everyone continues cheering, and even the Sisters join in! Misty then places a hand on Nick's arm. He turns to her.

"Hey, you did great. But, can I talk to you for a second?"

Nick nods, and they go back stage. They are gone for five minutes, and when they come back out, Misty is slightly blushing. So is Nick. Remited opens his mouth to ask what happened, then closes it. Melody lands on Nick's shoulder, and then Misty points up to where the ceiling was. It has retracted to reveal the open sky. Nick nods, and climbs on Phoenix's back. Remited does so as well, and the Moltres cries out in triumph, before flapping his wings. As they are flying up out of the Gym to go to the Center, Nick looks down and sees Misty walking towards them. He leans over to speak to Phoenix.

"Can you land again real quick?"

Phoenix does so, and Remited slides off. Misty walks over to Nick, and takes his hand. Nick slides back a little, and swings Misty in front of him. He scoots back up and wraps his arms around Misty to hold on. Remited climbs on again, and this time they actually head to the PMC.

Sento's Perspective

I have finally done it! I finished my intense meditation and now feel up to fighting Red! As I make my way back through Cerulean, I spot Nick, Remited, the Gym Leader, a Moltres, and Meloetta. Spotting Meloetta made me feel a fire burn in my eyes. But, I know I cannot let her know what I'm doing. I stick to hiding in crowds as I make my way back to Route 4. When I get there, I start heading for Route 22 to get to Mt. Silver. That's where Red lives, I've heard! That's where I will prove myself worthy of Meloetta's affections!
