(Ussop POV)
After firing the shot I ran towards the Ussop Factory, I don't even know if Two dodged it or not. I had a plan slowly forming through my mind as I raced down some stairs. There is no way I will be able to defeat Luffy through sheer strength, I'm going to have to be clever instead. I glanced over my shoulder to see if three was following me. I felt my stomach rise into my throat as I saw him rapidly catch up to me. I ran faster, but my legs felt like they where gonna fall off. I am so close to my workshop, yet so far. I grabbed the handle and tried to turn it, when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around to see Two standing there with an un-Luffy like smirk. I felt my knees start to shake as dread filled my throat.
"Hello there." Two calmly said while tightening his grip on my shoulder, "What are you doing?"
Then, I shouted the stupidest thing I could've thought of, "NAILS ON A CHALK BOARD!"
Two, unexpectedly, let go of my shoulder and covered his ears. I quickly ran into my workshop, searching the many crates and shelves for the dials from Skypiea. I scolded myself for not bringing them with me, I'm such a fool. I finally found them and quickly shoved them all into my bag. Then, the door exploded.
"Godammit." I muttered.
"Did you think a door would stop me?" Two laughed.
"Maybe?" I squeaked.
"You underestimate me." Two said coldly. He took a step forward.
"You're right." I said while cautiously taking a dial out of my bag, praying that the actually dial works after two years. I threw the flash dial towards Two and ran over to Franky's side of the workshop.
I heard Two shout in alarm, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS? A SHELL?" I took a mental note that Two doesn't know what a dial is. Maybe in his universe he never went to a sky island. I wonder why.
Franky should have more and better quality weapons to use. This Luffy, from what I can see, is strong. I don't know if he has a devil fruit though, which might be a problem. Lu' is proof that not all Luffies has a power, although Two seems stronger than Lu'. God, all this Luffy stuff is getting confusing. I found this gun thingy, or maybe it is a cool laser. I hoped it is the latter. By the time I found 'The Franky Gun' Two already recovered and is running after me.
I quickly took out an Impact Dial, expecting Two to attack. It is obvious that he doesn't have the Gum-Gum fruit, because he would've stretched if he did. As he threw a punch, with the same force that created a big wave earlier, I quickly brought the Impact Dial up to my face, which is where he was attacking. Sure enough, Two hit the Impact Dial. Unfortunately, Two threw a second punch with his other hand straight into my stomach. I flew straight into the wall, pain filling my gut. A bunch of things fell out of my bag. I quickly grabbed the closest weapon; my original slingshot, the Ginga Pachinko. but before I could pick it up Two kicked it out of my hand. My eyes widened in horror as Two broke my weapon in half.
"NO!" I cried in anguish. My hands started to shake. That was my original weapon.
"Oh. This upsets you?" Two asked, though it didn't sound like a question. He crushed the weapon into pieces by simply stepping on it.
"HOW DARE YOU!" I screamed, my throat felt raw and my mouth filled with blood from Two's previous attack. I didn't really care. I hadn't felt rage like this since I fought Luffy in Water 7.
Even though my legs felt like jelly, I quickly stood up and took the Impact Dial out and aimed the best I could at Two's face. He raised his eyerow in confusion, not knowing what this 'shell' did. I clicked the apex of the dial, letting all the energy hit Two in the head. My arm feels like it is on fire, but I knew that Two was feeling a lot worse. I take a step back, quickly snatching my now broken slingshot. I looked at Two, who is crumpled on the floor. His neatly combed hair is now messy, just like Luffy, and his face is covered with blood and bruises. I smiled in triumph, alas it didn't last long.
Two stood up, I cursed myself for not incapacitating him before celebrating, but to give me some credit, I wouldn't have time to. And Two would've broken out of whatever I tied him in quite easily.
"What are those?" Two asked while holding his right side of his face, where most of the damage was inflicted.
I puffed my chest out in false confidence, "THEY ARE MY MASTER INVENTION! ONE MORE HIT AND YOU WILL DIE!" I lied, "You better just give up." I quickly added at the end.
I thought Two looked scared for a second, instead his face contorted into a smirk. "I'm pretty tough though, Usopp. I think I'll pass on the 'giving up' thing."
I wiped blood off of my cheek, "I guess I should've assumed as much." I quickly took out my other slingshot, The Kuro Kabuto. I pulled the slingshot back, using a classic Fire Bird Star, which was one of the only bit of my amo that hadn't spilled on the floor. Two ran over, quickly gaining momentum. He pulled his arm back, preparing a devastating punch. I let the Star fly. The Fire Bird Star hit Two in the chest, but the madman ran through the flames and punched me in the head. Flames still licked Two's shoulders. I fell to the floor. I felt my now broken nose.
"Fire would never hurt me." Two said coldly, his dark eyes looked like ice next to the flames.
"Why would that be?" I choked.
"Fire is my brother's element." Two smiled slightly, his face turning slightly warm, and his eyes looked glazed, "It can only do good. You should know that, as his crew."
"Right..." I said, remembering back to Alabasta, where I met Fire Fist Ace. And the last time I ever will. I scrambled backwards until I hit the wall. I held Franky's Gun behind my back
Two snapped out of his strange daze and looked at me, kicking me in stomach. I coughed up blood and my vision was starting to get blurry.
"Ribs... broken..." I muttered, then I looked up at Two, "How are you so... strong?" Stupid question? Maybe. But it's better than getting kicked in the stomach.
"I live in a rough neighborhood in my universe. There isn't any 'Devil Fruits' in my universe, so there is only fists." Two explained while clenching his fists. He looked at them like he was considering if punching me was a good idea or not. I hope he chose the latter. Unfortunately, however, he did a non-rubber equivalent of a Gum-Gum Gatling into my chest. Pain filled my body with each hit. I quickly took the 'Franky Gun' and pulled the trigger. My eyes squeezed shut, I wasn't even sure if I hit him or not. Even if I knew he isn't Luffy, I couldn't bare watching him die. I slowly opened my eyes to see Two standing there, blood soaking his plaid shirt. Two stared at it, as if he couldn't fully process what was happening. He slowly grabbed his shirt.
"I... see..." Two whispered, "So... this... is... how... it...ends, huh?" He fell to the ground. His shaky breathing sent tremors through his body.
I leaned on the wall, "A gun, a non-rubber human's worst weakness." I coughed.
"I can think of worst ways to die." Two said quietly.
"Me too." I said. I looked up at the ceiling, not wanting to look Two in the eyes.
"I'm glad that you're the one who killed me." Two blurted.
"Why would that be?" I scowled.
"Well, Mr Opposite probably would've killed me anyway. So, It's better this way." Two sighed.
"Why did you join someone who was gonna kill you anyway?" I asked.
"I was bitter back then. I wasn't thinking straight, and Mr Opposite showing me my future didn't help either." Two paused, "Do you understand how it feels? Knowing you have no future? That some other version of you is happy while you aren't?" Two sounded slightly angry.
"No... I don't." I said.
"But now I realize that it's stupid. Destroying stuff doesn't make you any happier. It only makes other people like you. And I'm done with all of these 'versions of me'. Way to complicated." Even though I wasn't looking at him, I could sense that he is smiling.
I said nothing.
"There is something important for me to tell you, before I... uh... pass." Two said, coughing up blood, "The weapon isn't at Aria Sonata."
"What do you mean?" I said, a little surprised.
"The reason that Mr Opposite is here is for a devil fruit user. A young girl, I think... I don't know... Mr Opposite didn't tell me much. Anyway, his target is Luffy's home town, Foosha Village on Dawn Island."
"Why—." I started, but Two cut me off.
"I don't know why, Usopp. You just need to tell the others before they get to deep into Mr Opposite's base. If they get to far in they might get captured or... worse." Two explained, "I know you have injuries, but you need to get there quickly!"
"Why are you telling me this!?" I shouted. I really wanted to say 'Why should I trust you!?', but it didn't seem appropriate to say to a dying man.
"Because, Usopp. I don't want the entire Universe to disappear! You may not believe me... I'm fine with that, but Mr Opposite showed me Luffy, your Luffy's, life. At first I was angry that someone else could have such an adventure! I wanted to take it away! But maybe... maybe... This universe is to good to destroy... don't you think? Or maybe dying makes me delirious... either one." Two said. He made an attempt to sit up, only to fall back down and cough more blood.
"O-ok... I'll do it!" I said, already feeling my legs shaking. I stopped looking at the ceiling and stared at Two instead. He looked in bad shape, like in any moment he would just stop existing. I stood up with effort.
Two smiled weakly, "Thank you, Usopp. And I'm sorry for breaking your weapon..." my eyes widened in my surprise, but my heart filled with guilt. I forgot all about my Pachinko, I've been so distracted with all the stuff that has happened.
I smiled and gave an awkward thumbs-up. I walked towards the door.
"Wait!" Two said, his voice sounded strained, "You better kick Mr Opposite's ass for me... Ok?"
"Yeah! You got it! He isn't going to destroy my Universe any time soon." I assured.
"You better!" Two's eyes looked bright with genuine happiness. The slowly faded and glazed over, but his smile stayed eerily on his face. I walked out the door with new-found purpose.
I grabbed my Kuro Kabuto and walked onto the Sunny's grassy deck, only to find it in disarray and two bloodied up figures on the ground. Three and Franky. My hands shook with nervousness. Was Franky alive?"
Oh wow, I hope this wasn't as bad as I think it is. I'm sooooo bad at action scenes, dear god! And I'm gonna have to write Franky v Three next chapter... oh no. Well, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Please leave a review about how bad this chapter is and thank you for reading!
