Chapter 16

Prince Peasley introduces himself, "I'm Peasley, the prince of Bean-bean Kingdom and the best of its troops. I am here to look for someone, but judging by the deceptive voice I heard, it came from you, so you're the one I want to look for."

"Is my voice elegant?" Jojora blushed in response to the prince's compliment, "Is it beautiful?"

"To my ears," the prince replied in seriousness, "but you have to come with me immediately."

Jojora playfully pouted and objected, "Prince of Bean-bean Kingdom, you say? That's a dead joke that belongs to Joke's End, this palace. For that, you are welcome…"

"Excuse me?" Prince Peasley expressed out of Jojora's insult, "You insult the title of prince as a joke?"

Jojora giggled and answered with a disbelieving response, "You're no prince of me or the creatures of Joke's End. None of your green people ever come to play… until you," then she offered, "Getting through here won't be nearly as easy as what you're used to, but be my guest, so-called prince of Bean-bean Kingdom."

"No, just hold on one moment!" Prince Peasley shouts at Jojora.

But the blue girl has risen and levitated and started to float towards the next room. Prince Peasley looks behind him to see a door leading to the next area. He enters a room where it has the same entrance where Jojora entered through.

Right beside the prince is Jojora, who proceeds to float up to the northeastern part of the room. Prince Peasley quickly brings his winged board out and rides it. He jumps repeatedly to elevate it to chase the enigmatic girl, who enters the next area through the elevated northeastern part of the area.

Jojora looks at the prince behind her to give him a smile. Prince Peasley reacts with a curious look. Jojora's smile turns to a playful grin as she waves her scepter to summon a blizzard of snow. The blizzard tried to cause imbalance towards the prince to fall off his board.

Prince Peasley falls down from his winged board, which stays still in midair for not having a pilot. He falls down on a lower-levelled floor in the area. Jojora giggles and escapes through the north passage.

Prince Peasley gets up but finds himself surrounded by a pair of big, spherical green creatures with big noses and two strands of whiskers on each side of their noses. Their arms appear to be thin but strong when each of the creatures are holding one club in one hand. They have a purple toupee and they only wear yellow-skinned animal clothing. These creatures are known as Clumphs, primitive species of the Beanish who inhabited in the forbidden Joke's End.

The prince quickly takes his sword out to strike one of the two Clumphs with his sword. The Clumph is inflicted of damage and retreats away to back off. The other Clumph raised its club and pounds it against the floor, causing to shake as the prince of Bean-bean Kingdom wobbles in reaction to the shockwave caused by the Clumph.

Prince Peasley stays on his feet carefully. When the quake has ceased, the prince jumped and struck the Clumph repeatedly and swiftly. His face makes an arrogant smile as he repeatedly strikes the primitive Beanish. And then, he swishes his sword using every force he held back to knock the Clumph against the wall.

The first Clumph returned as it raised its club to attack Prince Peasley, who quickly responds by making a jump and flip and reaching his sword out to slice the Clumph's purple toupee into two before landing behind the Clumph.

The Beanish primitive is rid of its toupee. The Clumph placed its hand on its head to check on its toupee. It became embarrassed to become bald in sight, so it ran away and mindlessly hits its own head against the wall, knocking it unconscious.

Prince Peasley laughs in amusement and withdraws his sword. He continues to follow Jojora, who has fled through the north door, where Prince Peasley proceeds to enter after retrieving his winged board from the air. He finds himself outside as the cold wind blows to cause the prince to shiver. The prince climbed up a set of icy spiral stairs to proceed to the next level, where he enters the next area.

He finds himself in a room divided by iron bars of none knows who built it. Prince Peasley is in the north part of the room, where a door to another room of the palace is found. Prince Peasley sighs in frustration to find the girl he found but continues on in confidence.

Upon entering the next room, the prince is suddenly surrounded by Ice Snifits. They wear black masks with eyeholes and a nozzle as the mouth of their masks. Their whole bodies are covered by orange parkas and they are also wearing a pair of blue shoes.

"These are definitely not Ice Snifits," Prince Peasley bravely said to himself, "so I am safe."

The Ice Snifits aimed their nozzles at Prince Peasley and proceed to fire chunks of ice at him. The prince takes his sword out again to strike each of the ice attacks in an impressively swift motion. He rides his winged board and flies it forward to strike the Ice Snifits while riding the winged board. He flies around the room until the room is cleared of Ice Snifits.

Prince Peasley continues to ride his winged board to proceed to the next area by flying west. The next area has elevated blocks of ice leading to a door to the outside.

In front of the door, Jojora is floating in the air and sees the prince appear in her left. She looks at the prince of the Beanish with a cute smile, but the heart of the prince beats without the emotion Jojora wants and instead, she is treated in seriousness.

Jojora reacts to this with a pout and discourages the prince, "Not having fun, I see? The smiles from before is for yourself, but not to the creatures I've set up for you. Look, if you're so bored of me right now, you probably should just give up and go home!"

Prince Peasley points his sword at the girl in seriousness and yells at her, "I will not give up until I have you!"

Jojora groaned in annoyance, but teased the prince playfully, "You are so stubborn that no girls would ever like you!"

Jojora points her scepter at the prince to fire a bolt of blue lightning. Prince Peasley stays in place and holds his sword in front of him to defend himself. The bolt hits the sword, causing it to be encased in a block of ice and also trapping his hands as well.

"My hands!" Prince Peasley yelled at Jojora.

The prince jumps to elevate the winged board to Jojora's level. And then, he weighs his foot on the front of the board to make it fly forward. Jojora giggles and waves her scepter to summon another blizzard. Prince Peasley squats to lower the winged board to avoid the blizzard. He jumps off his board to land on one of the blocks. And then, he jumps on the block where Jojora is.

Prince Peasley tries to hit Jojora with his frozen arms, but the enigmatic girl blocks the prince's attack with her scepter. Prince Peasley tries to push Jojora off the block, and when he did, they fell on the base floor of the room. Prince Peasley pushes his frozen arms down to put Jojora down.

"Harder, Peasley, harder!" Jojora exclaimed in crazed joy.

The enigmatic girl's scepter is still held in Jojora's hands and points at a wall. She activates the scepter to release an explosive ice blast against the wall to release a shockwave to knock Prince Peasley off Jojora.

Jojora floated from her feet and jokingly yelled at Prince Peasley, "You never touch a lady without her permission!"

"Lady?" Prince Peasley stood on his feet with his sword in his hand, "You're not acting like one so far."

Jojora proceeds to float up, followed by leaping Prince Peasley. However, one of the ice blocks has a Glurp unnoticed by the prince. The Glurp stretches its body and catches the prince's foot with its mouth and pulls him down.

Jojora floats towards the winged board and steals it. She laughs and floats away with the winged board in her possession outside.

Prince Peasley grunts, trying to free himself from the Glurp. Its mouth starts to release purple gas while the prince's foot is still inside. Prince Peasley screamed in agony and pain when the gas is hurting his foot. He tries to hit the Glurp with his fist, but the gelatinous creature is resistant to his punches. So, the prince tries to pull his foot from the Glurp's mouth, but the Glurp is too resistant.

Prince Peasley starts to suffer as his breaths are running out in favor of the cold air inside Joke's End. All the prince could do with his last breath is to scream, "Please help!"

Outside, Jojora still has Peasley's bean-shaped board. She hears the prince's last scream. She giggles wickedly to hear the intruder's last voice and slowly starts to fly away.

Jojora stopped and floated in place. She could not hear anything anymore when the wind stops. She turns around to see the room behind her from the outside. Nothing appeared inside the room.

Jojora's face turns to guilt and slowly flies back into the room. She finds the Glurp slowly covering the prince's whole body. Prince Peasley's eyes are closed and his muscles are not functioning or moving at all.

"H-Hey!" Jojora called out to the Glurp, whose yellow eyes are set to her.

The enigmatic girl aimed her scepter at the Glurp and strikes a blue lightning bolt at it, encasing its body in ice. But Jojora waves her wand to vengefully shatter the Glurp into pieces of ice. Prince Peasley is still unconscious but he is safe for now.

"Peasley?" Jojora called out the Beanish prince in worry.

She floats towards Prince Peasley to tend to him. She looks at the prince's foot. The skin of his foot is corroded, horrifyingly showing the blood and muscle of his foot. The unpleasant scent left by the Glurp can be smelled.

Jojora mumbles in worry and lifts the prince up, but the armor makes it heavy for Jojora to carry. She places him back down to use her scepter. Ice spikes grow around the prince's unconscious body. The ice spikes proceed to carry the prince outside at Jojora's behest.

The trail of ice spikes continues to carry the prince. Outside, the ice spike trail carries Prince Peasley up the set of icy spiral stairs, which is much higher than the one Prince Peasley climbed up before. Jojora continues to control the ice spike trail and follow Prince Peasley. They once again enter one of the palace's rooms before heading outside again through another door, where another set of spiral stairs must be taken to take them to the next level, where they enter the last tower of the palace.

Prince Peasley slowly regains consciousness. He slowly breathes again as his eyes open at ease. He could feel the trail of ice spikes carrying him over another set of stairs inside the room of the palace. The level leads to a straight path. Jojora smiles a little when she hears the prince breathing and pretends to not notice him. The ice spike trail continues to carry the prince towards a door leading to the next area.

They finally arrive in the area, which is a circular room with a table on the center and six burning pedestals on the north wall. The ice spike trail places the prince near the burning pedestals. Jojora turns her sight away from Prince Peasley to attend to her table to place her scepter down. She sighs and tries to think of something to help recover the prince from his injury.

Prince Peasley quietly looks at his skin-corroded foot. He could feel its pain and silently winces in pain. His expression turns to a furious one and sets it towards Jojora, since he believes it is her doing.

Jojora prepares a metal pot under her table to fill it with ice. And then, she turns back around to float towards one of the flaming pedestals to place the ice-filled pot above the fire.

She still knows that the prince has awoken, so she faces at him to tend to him again, but she is surprised when Prince Peasley lunged himself towards Jojora, putting her to the floor.

Jojora tries to explain, "Wait, I saved you!"

"Yeah, right!" Prince Peasley angrily disbelieves to pin her to the floor, but when his wounded foot touches the cold floor, he once again groans in pain.

Jojora gets up and carries the prince to make him lie down on his back. Prince Peasley grunted and grabbed ahold of Jojora's arm. He binds her from escaping.

"Let me go!" Jojora shouted at the prince, "I'm trying to help you!"

"So, help me," Prince Peasley yelled his request at the enigmatic girl, "take us to Bean-bean Castle where…!"

Jojora groaned in annoyance and yelled at him with a tear from her eye, "Unhand me, you creep!"

Jojora pulls her hands from Prince Peasley's grasp and slaps his face with her hand. Her eyes dazzle by the tears of her distress. Prince Peasley still keeps his stubborn, furious expression towards her, but complies anyway and snobbishly lies down on the floor.
