AN: Hi All!
I'm baaack!
As promised, I'm slowly completing my stories one at a time. This one is currently top ranking in my profile poll results so I'll be working on it until it's "finished".
Funny thing about The Undeniable Truth though...it's structured so that I can make it as long or as short as I want to. Which means…
I will keep working on this one until interest starts to wane, at which point, I'll start winding it down, okay? So...if you want more chapters, just keep pressing "Review"!
Special thanks to, Goldielover, Kyra, TlynG, twi nana, and catgrl, for reviewing last chapter!
This chappy is pretty intense, so let's get to it!
Blessings,

Chapter Fourteen: And Then, My World Shifted
My first offer of the night was surprisingly from Rose. I certainly wasn't expecting that. "Hi, Bella. I know you probably have something else in mind, but I wanted to let you know it was an option anyway. My offer would be a one week motorcycle trip through the highlands," She explained.
"Oh wow, that actually does sound nice. Can I let you know?" I suggested.
"Yeah, of course, keep me posted." She smiled and walked away to make another offer.
While we were talking, I noticed Edward had approached Carlisle. He had mentioned to me earlier that he was thinking of making Carlisle an offer of three months. I knew he was really hoping he'd say yes.
My eavesdropping was interrupted when Christmas apparently came early for me, as the two people I most hoped to see came up to me. "Hi, Bella. I'm just going to cut to the chase here. Our offer is three months with the both of us and if I need to, I will even promise not to drag you shopping with me for the whole three months." Alice grinned.
I raised my eyebrow at Jasper, "Is she kidding about the shopping part, or did hell just freeze over?" I laughed.
"No, she's serious, Bella. She really wants this one. She ain't the only one, either." He winked, laying on a bit of southern twang for effect.
Daaang.
"That's amusing, considering I had planned on making a similar offer, sans the shopping caveat, of course," I confessed.
"Really?" Alice asked, pleasantly surprised. I guess she must have been sticking to her promise not to use her visions to sway the outcomes.
"Yeah, I mean, I've been wanting to try a thruple kinda thing. And I know I would feel comfortable with you two," I explained. "Let me just make sure Edward has no objections before I accept, but this was one we did talk about."
"Sure thing, take your time." Jasper nodded, since Edward was still talking to Carlisle.
I noticed Fiona had already accepted an offer from Emmett, who was looking pretty pleased with himself.
Arthur was talking to Esme and it seemed like it could go either way. And Rosalie was chatting with Ceit, which seemed surprising until I overheard Ceit say that with having Baby Fergus to think of, she was looking for a shorter length for her first union and that Rose's three week maximum seemed like a good fit.
Carlisle left his conversation with Edward to go speak to Esme and I saw her give consent for him to accept the offer. Edward was adorably giddy when Carlisle told him. He looked at me and gave me a thumbs up. I mimed a clapping motion and then beckoned him over.
"So, your 3 month offer got accepted? So, can I accept the same length offer from Alice and Jasper then? She even offered to withhold shopping excursions but I'm not cruel enough to make her stick to that." I snickered.
"Wow, she must be serious." He laughed. "Yes, definitely. Go right ahead, Love." He nodded.
"Yay! Thank youuu!" I grinned. "I'm gonna go tell them."
I walked back over to Alice and Jasper and let them know that I was accepting their offer with Edward's consent. She hugged me right away, all smushy-like, and then she pulled Jasper into the hug. Meanwhile I noticed Arthur and Esme had finalized their offer and so had Rose and Ceit.
"That worked out pretty well," I mused, as Carlisle moved to announce the offer time was closed and the Farewell Dance was about to start.
"It usually does." Alice smiled, kissing my cheek. "We'll see you after the dance!" She beamed excitedly as they tangoed off across the dance floor.
Edward approached me and held his arm out to me like a fairytale prince. We danced the first dance in silence, just like last time, gathering our thoughts.
"Any advice for me with Carlisle?" He whispered into my hair.
"Yeah. Don't go in with any preconceived notions like I did. Like Alice said to me last time, everyone brings out a different side of him." I shrugged.
"How about you, any advice for me?" I asked.
"Well, I can only speak in regard to Alice, but I think it will be a lot different for you. Partly because Jasper tends to calm her down. Whereas I sort of just humored her." He grinned with a shrug.
"Yeah, fair enough." I laughed.
"Should we be worried about Fiona?" I smirked. "She's so petite and I've heard Em's...not."
"I'm sure she'll be fine. Alice can handle him and no one is as tiny as Alice. Plus Fi has a disclaimer in her dislikes about not wanting little cocks, so she's probably used to the 'Emmetts' of the world anyway." He shrugged, trying to make it sound like he was making observations anyone could have made, rather than having picked past memories out of her mind, which was more likely the case.
"Yeah, that makes sense." I noted.
"Plus, it's Em, and he's a pretty gentle giant anyway," he assured me.
"Good point, you're right " I nodded.
Soon, it was time to say our goodbyes and go off with our new partners.
"I hope you have a lot of fun with Alice and Jasper." Edward smiled.
"Thanks! I know you'll have fun with Carlisle." I grinned wiggling my eyebrows at him.
"Mmhmm, see you soon, Bella." He beamed, blowing me one last kiss as he went off to collect Carlisle.
I would be staying in Alice and Jasper's room with them, so Carlisle would be with Edward in our room. I had to imagine that would be a little surreal for him, so soon after spending five months in there with me, but I knew Carlisle was great as staying 'in the moment' so I doubted it would be a problem for them.
When Alice and Jasper came to take me to their room, Alice was her usual exuberant self. Jasper seemed more subdued. "Everything okay, Jas?" I asked as we walked through the hallway.
"Yeah, Darlin', just a little nervous." He shrugged.
"Nervous? Jasper, you don't have anything to be nervous about…" I assured him.
"You might as well tell her, Jazzy. It's gonna be a long three months if you don't." Alice shrugged.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, Ally Cat." He agreed, running his hands through his hair. "So...it's possible I might have a reasonably sizeable crush on you, Bella."
Alice grinned like the cat who ate the canary.
"Really? Since when?" I asked, totally caught off guard by that revelation. I had assumed they made their offer to me mostly for Alice. I figured if anybody had the crush it would be her.
"...since Phoenix." He winced, clearly embarrassed.
I was silent for a few moments, trying to process that information.
Partly because I had no idea whatsoever that Jasper had feelings for me. Also partly because...well, you know that one moment, where your life is on a certain path, and someone says something to you that is the exact right thing at the exact right moment and it causes you to stop and really notice them? And then you spend a moment picturing how different your life would be if you were with that person instead?
Yeah, well, I'd had that moment, with Jasper, in Phoenix. But I had assumed it to be entirely one sided and had done my best to put it out of my mind.
So to hear now that perhaps he had experienced the same thing? It made me feel things. Deep things. Things I could never unfeel.
"Oookay, let's get you two into a bedroom before this hallway becomes a little too x-rated." Alice teased, breaking the sexually and emotionally charged silence and hauling us both into their bedroom and locking the door behind us.
I shook my head to try and clear it, but it wasn't working. Something inside my brain had shifted and I was having trouble focusing on anything other than Jasper.
Alice giggled and walked up behind me and opened my arms. Then she physically pushed Jasper into them. "You two are ridiculous. Am I going to have to do everything for you?"
For a moment, I just accepted his embrace, hugging him and breathing him in. Scared to do more because it felt like I was sitting on a toboggan at the top of a very large hill. Once it started, there'd be no stopping it.
Alice sighed and turned both of our heads to face her. "You both forget, I've already seen all of this. As soon as Bella decided to accept our offer, I knew exactly what these three months are going to look like. And frankly...I'm excited about it.
"There's no greater joy than getting to watch the person you love, fall in love. Most people don't get to experience that. But I know from experience that it's pretty freaking cool. Don't forget, I've done this before." She beamed.
"It just feels so...big." I admitted with a sigh, daring to look him in the eyes. "Like the second we take this leap…"
"Everything changes?" He confirmed.
I nodded.
"I know, I feel it too. It is big," he agreed, biting his lip. "But honestly, it's so big, I don't think we have a choice anymore." He said with his arms around my waist, as our lips found each other like magnets.
And it was like the world shifted.
Vampires are creatures of routine. Habit. Very few things can change a vampire. But I knew that from that moment on, I wouldn't be the same.
I always thought that the reason the Cullen lifestyle worked was because of the way vampire mates worked. There could only ever be one. Everyone only got one soulmate. That was what I believed with every single fiber of my being…
...until I kissed Jasper.
Fuck.
I felt the ground under me shift as the toboggan started to move.
I stopped kissing him, just long enough to look Alice in the eyes.
"Last chance to call this off," I warned her.
"Bella...I know what I'm in for. And I'm in for it. And I know it's probably the farthest thing from your mind right now, but I warned Edward. He knows exactly what this is too. We're okay, Bella. Now please, forget I'm even here," she insisted.
And with those reassurances, I went back to kissing Jasper.
I didn't know how it could be possible. But I did know...somehow...I was meant for Jasper just as much as I was for Edward. Just as much as Jasper was for Alice. It would never again be for us like it was for the rest of the family. This was going to need it's own whole new set of rules.
As my legs wrapped around him and our bodies moved backward onto the bed with me straddling his lap, our lips never parted. Every inch of me was screaming that my body needed to be closer to his, needed to merge. Soon, our clothing lie in tatters on the floor and Alice didn't even complain.
There was no barrier between us anymore. As I felt him penetrate me, not only were our bodies uniting but so were our souls. I hadn't experienced anything like this since my honeymoon. And as we moved together in perfect synchronicity, I knew what was coming next. I felt the venom pool in my mouth and the urge to mark him was unstoppable. I felt his teeth sink into my own flesh at the same time as I gave into the urge myself.
The mating marking triggered our mutual release and we rode out the waves of ecstasy in a state of blissful euphoria. I knew vampires couldn't cry. It was impossible. Just as impossible as having two mates. And yet somehow, I was crying. We both were. It was intense and meaningful and beautiful and perfect and there really were no words.
Alice was the first one to speak after some time had passed.
"That was...wow," she whispered. I would have been worried, but I could tell by the tone she said it in that I had nothing to worry about. She was totally accepting this. I just had to hope she was right about Edward being on board because I'm pretty sure there was nothing in the rules about this.
"You okay, Darlin'?" Jas whispered.
"Never better," I assured him, beaming.
And as I pulled him as close to me as humanly possible, I didn't need words. He understood what I wanted, entering me again, moving inside of me as our bodies merged and became one again in the best way.
It was hours of this before we finally felt sated enough in our mating to be able to focus on anything outside of one another.
When we reached out to beckon Alice over, it happened simultaneously, in perfect unison.
"That's freaky." She giggled, crawling into the bed beside us. "Are you two going to just always be perfectly in sync now?"
"Probably not, no. I think we both just knew it was time." I explained.
"Are you sure? Because if you need more time, I'm perfectly content to just watch," she began. "When Jasper and I first mated, I had him to myself for a long time before we came to be with the family. It was nice to have that time. It cemented our bond. And when you and Edward first mated, you had the cottage, which provided the same sort of thing."
It was insane to hear Alice casually comparing what had just happened to our respective mating bonds with our spouses, but it was oddly accurate. It really was the same. I didn't know how, but yeah. I knew everything would be different now.
"Maybe we can take some time to ourselves later like what you're suggesting. But for right now, I really just need to say thank you, Alice. And I think the best way to do that is without words." I smiled, pulling her in between us.
Together, Jasper and I slowly undressed Alice, being careful not to rip any of her expensive clothes. We lavished her with kisses and caresses and made sure she felt treasured and important. I knew we both had the overwhelming desire to make certain she knew that whatever would be different between Jasper and I going forward, she wasn't going to be neglected because of it.
As Jasper made love to Alice, I used my hands and mouth to touch her and devour her and give her attention.
Meanwhile, I realized there were some very interesting sounds coming from mine and Edward's room.
"Oh geez, is that what I think it is?" I whispered staring at the wall as I heard what I was certain must be the crack of a belt coming down on vampire flesh.
Alice giggled. "Yes, but don't worry, he'll be fine. They have a rather...surprising dynamic, but I promise you it's totally consensual."
"Yeah, I'm not concerned, per se, just very surprised." I nodded, hearing Edward whimpering through the wall and begging for more.
"Well, if you think that's surprising, just wait until they break out the leather." She grinned.
"Wow, yeah, that...certainly paints an image." I laughed.
"Alright Ladies, enough eavesdropping." Jasper growled playfully, drawing our attention back to him.
"Yes, Major." Alice and I both answered compliantly.
It wasn't long before he had Alice climaxing and afterwards we all curled up in a big happy pile on the bed, Jasper in the middle with an arm around each of us.
"You sure you're okay, Alice?" I whispered, wanting to be positive.
"Yes, very. You have to remember, I'm clairvoyant, Bella. I knew this was going to happen eventually," she reminded me.
"When did you first know?" I asked her, though I was pretty sure I knew the answer.
"Do you really want to know?" She winced.
"You always knew, didn't you?" Jas asked.
She nodded.
"How did you keep it from our resident mind-reader?" Jas puzzled.
"I didn't. He knew too," she admitted.
"Then why didn't…" I started.
Alice interrupted. "It needed to happen this way, Bella. Jasper isn't like Edward. If he'd known, he wouldn't have waited to turn you. Which means…"
"Nessie never would have been born." I sighed, realizing the significance.
"She's right, Darlin'. If I'd had any inkling...you would have been turned right after the incident with Tyler's van," he assured me.
"I just...how did you two reconcile this?" I asked, referring to Alice and Edward. "I mean, this is huge."
"Yes, but when you came into our lives, the family was already living polyamorously to a degree. This is just...more, that's all," she shrugged not seeming at all bothered about it.
I had so many questions. My head was spinning. There was so much I wanted to know about where we would go from here and how things would be different. But I didn't know where to start.
Jasper sent me a wave of calm and kissed me deeply. "We'll figure it out, Darlin'."
"We're probably going to need to call a family meeting anyway to tell everyone. But if you'd like, I can wait until after you have a chance to talk to Edward." Alice suggested.
"Yeah, let's try to do that tomorrow, preferably after all of that stops " I nodded toward the wall through which I could hear vampiric sobbing and the sound of metal chains or something. I shuddered involuntarily.
"Let's go for a hunt?" Jasper suggested, knowing we could probably stand to get out of the house for a while. Also, it would be better if no one was nearby to smell our mating bond on us until it was time for the family meeting, or else they might jump to the wrong conclusions.
"Excellent idea, Jazzy." Alice nodded, grabbing us each a change of clothes for before and after.
As we headed off into the surrounding hills in search of prey, I was starting to feel a lot better about all of this. If Edward had known since the beginning, that meant that he had known before we got married. And he'd made that commitment to me anyway. Which was enough to reassure me that we would be okay. I would still be Edward's. I would just be Jasper's, too.
But most of all, I knew that I would be happy.
AN: Okay, okay, I know! Huuuge twist, right?
How we doin'? Still with me?
