The prisoners are brought before the Prince pushed onto their knees. "Here are the latest trespassers to the Realm your Highness." The Captain bowed to Jaden. "Thank you Captain Rónán." He then turns his attention to the tray of drinks to be used to erase the memories of the prisoners. "So what brings you to the ruins of my Realm? Do you search for its treasure? To carve out a kingdom for yourself? Or perhaps answers for a lost loved one?" Both remained quit as Prince Jaden move from the tray of drinks that was brought out for him to inspect. However, when he turned and saw the striking feature of Cedric's two tone hair he immediately became disappointed and angry. "You implement fools! Release them at once!" The guards, Sofia, and Cedric were surprised by the sudden change in the Prince's attitude. But the guards moved to obeyed the order given. Once the restraints were removed Jaden spoke to Cedric who moved slightly in front of Sofia to protect her. "Cedric, Royal Sorcerer of Enchancia?" Cedric nods slightly to confirm his identity. "Please forgive the rude introduction. However, since Rose's abducted the standing order has been to turn wayward travelers away from the magical barrier."
At this Cedric when slack jaw, "Abducted? When? How? I mean how do you know my name?" Jaden simply pointed to the open collar of his royal blue shirt to where Rose's Crescent Moon locket lay against his throat. "She often spoke of you and showed me the portrait within this locket." Jaden answered the latter of Cedric's questions. "And as to the former I cannot answer as I was not there. However, now that you are here perhaps we can both gain the answers to those questions. But first bring food and proper drink for our guests. Please Cedric come sit next to me." Jaden motion to a chair next to the throne, most likely his cousins seat if she was here. Cedric took Sofia's hand and sat her in the chair beside him opposite the Prince and, made no attempts to introduce her or to even draw any attention to her in any way. Cedric turned to the Prince "What do you mean we both can get the answers? Whom told you she was abducted?" Prince Jaden smiled sheepish, "Well no one told me in words. But Starlight never leaves Rose's side when she would go out to inspect the magical barrier. So when Starlight came back without her I just knew something was wrong."
Cedric did not understand. "So what do you want me to do?" Cedric said, waving a hand low to Sofia to keep quit. "Well I'm sure you know that Druids use their magic to create bonds with animals in order to do Gaia's bidding. Perhaps you know of a spell to accomplish the bond so we can learn what happened?" Sofia wanted to speck and tried to, "Well… umm..." when Cedric shot her a warning look. "Please do not interrupt us again Apprentice." Cedric then turned to the Prince. "Forgive her your highness, she is still learning. As to the… bond is it?" Prince Jaden nods "I would need to look into how, perhaps a potion would suffice in this manner. You know as well as I that Rose's and my magic are as different as oil and water?" Cedric looks at the Prince and sees that he is unaware that there are different types of magic. 'Of course he is unaware he is a royal.' However, Prince Jaden surprised him by saying. "Well forgive my ignorance but I have only known the Earth magic of the Druids. I am unaware of other sources of magic. That is my fault not your, so educate me on subject." Prince Jaden said as food and drinks were brought out before them. Cedric however was in pure shock at how the Prince regarded the subject of different magic. It took Sofia gently shaking his sleeve to get Cedric to speck at all. Cedric had to shake his head to clear it. "Forgive me but the Royal Family I work for have never asked me to educate them on magic, except the youngest princess."
Cedric face brighten as he continue to explain to Prince Jaden how Rose's Druidic magic differed from his more spell and potion based magic. "Now there are some similarity." Cedric says shaking his hand in a so-so fashion. "In that we both use herbs but unlike Rose I can't manipulate the herb say into it base components like she could." Jaden truly listen to Cedric which surprised him. Perhaps his Sofia was not a one off anomaly in royalty. Oh Sofia bless her for keeping quite while I fugue out what is going on here. "Fascinating! Will then we will need to work together to hopefully find out what happened when Rose was abducted." Jaden glances over to the window and sees the sun setting over the tree line. "But for now rest and eat we will talk more in the morning. And if I see Rose in my dreams tonight I shall ask her if she knows any way to help us further along." The prince smiles sadly "Even captured I trust her counsel more than any other." Cedric nods to the Prince. Jaden waves a hand and a guard appears at his side. "Yes my Prince?" Without looking at him "Have a suite prepared for my guests." Cedric flushed red and called after the guard "Two separate rooms please!" Jaden looked at him them to the young woman seated next to him. "You have been so protective of her I just assumed you would want one room together, again forgive me." And Jaden waves off the guard to follow out the order given. All retired for the night. Jaden hoped he would see Rose to tell her that Cedric was here, that he was going to save her with Cedric's help. He truly hoped she was there in his dreams tonight.
