I don't own any of this Paranorman belongs to Laika and IT belongs to Stephen King.

The group of five were walking down the street towards the intersection that they would have to part ways to head to their houses. None of them didn't speak about the encounter they had at Mr. Prenderghast's house though it definitely left it's scars on them, most litterly on Alvin.

He is wincing over the pain on his cheeks as he touched his wound, "My cheek! It hurts so bad!"

The others looked at him in concern, Alvin lets out another wince as he touched the wound again.

"Do you think we should get Alvin to a hospital?" Neil asked in concern.

Salma takes a close look at Alvin's injury before replying. "No the injury isn't deep enough to cause infection but will leave behind a scar, besides I don't even know if anyone in the hospital would even see it."

"But it hurts so bad!" Alvin whined.

"Stop touching it, put some bandages on it and you should be alright."

They walked further, up ahead the intersection could be seen, Norman is now wondering what the next game plan would be to defeat IT, they knew where IT lived and IT'S weakness but the problem is he didn't know how to do the ritual of chud, it was something completely new to him, could he even do it even though his uncle failed to do so, I mean there was always a chance if he at least tried.

"So we know where IT lives, and if we learn how to do that ritual we can-" Norman began but is interrupted by Alvin who angrily turns to him in a flash.

"We're not doing anything else! Or at least I'm not!"

"Whoa calm down Alvin." Neil exclaimed as he paced his hand on Alvin's arm, Alvin shakes it off in anger.

"No I won't calm down! I was nearly killed today want prove of it just look at my cheek!"

"Alvin IT'S going to keep killing kids if we don't stop IT." Norman countered.

"Yeah well wanna hear a spoiler, we fight IT, IT kills and eats us. Frankly I don't want to get eaten like a corn dog thank you very much."

"Alvin we can't just ignore IT, IT will still be here and IT will come back twenty seven years."

"Yeah well I'll be far gone by then, living in a nice town or in a cool biker gang, though I really don't know what to do when I get out of here through that biker idea sounds cool. My point is in twenty seven years I'm out of this cursed town and I advice all of you to leave as well."

Salma crossed her arms as she gives him an unimpressed look, "So you rather go the cowardly way and let IT terrorize this town, instead of confronting IT and try to end IT once and for all."

Alvin crosses his own arms with a serious expression, "If it means staying alive then yes."

Shock took hold on the others, they all couldn't believe that Alvin just said that, Aggie who is most appalled floated over to him with the most disgusted look she ever had.

"You, you, you coward! I never would've thought that you would only think about yourself while others suffer from that monster!"

Feeling the air turn cold in front of him Alvin looked at Aggie with that same serious expression, he wasn't fearing her for the moment as the fear of the other thing was greater, she also saved him so it also shrunk a bit.

"Listen ghostie I appreciate you saving me back there, but I ain't ready to join you in the afterlife."

"Ghostie!? My name is Aggie!"

Alvin points at her, "Point is you may find it fun to be dead, but I ain't ready to die."

Aggie let's out a gasp of hurt, then twists her face into complete utter rage. "You aren't ready to die, you ain't ready to die, you ain't ready to die! I wasn't ready to die but look at me now! I didn't have a choice, it wasn't fun staying asleep at a tree for 300 years! It wasn't fun not seeing the ones you love ever again, and let me tell you this you, you stink face you have no idea what's it like to be dead!"

Norman raised his arms trying to defuse the situation, "Now guys come on there's no need to-"

They both turn to him, "Stay out of this Norman!" Causing Norman to jump back in surprise while Neil and Salma also jumped behind him.

"You know what forget this I'm going home to enjoy a nice relaxing weekend without the risk of dieing from a stupid clown, monster thing." With that Alvin went off in a huff, Aggie with electricity zapping in her hands, hair rising, eyes glowing yellow watched him leave with pure rage.

"WHO NEEDS YOU! YOUR JUST A SELFISH COWARD!" Aggie swiftly turns to Norman, electricity sparks in the air. "I need to let off some steam, I'll see you later tonight Norman." Without even giving him a chance to say anything Aggie passes through a fence that is beside them.

"This turned bad." Was all that Norman could say.

Neil forms a sad frown, "Did we just loose two friends?"

"Aggie is still with us she just needs to calm down, but we did loose Alvin." Norman replied.

"Oh no do you think he'll come back?"

"I don't think so Neil he sounded serious." Salma stated.

"Yeah and I don't think Aggie wants to see him again as he did say something very personal to her." Norman added.

"Does this mean the five of us wont hang out anymore?"

"Afraid so Neil." Norman replied.

Neil looks to the ground sadly while letting out a sad groan.

"I suppose this breakup will hinder our efforts with our battle against IT." Salma looked down at her watch, "We better get going our parents will surely worry about our where abouts if we don't hurry."

Salma, Neil, and Norman went their separate ways the three all picked up the pace to beat the curfew. Norman luckily entered his house in the nick of time, his mother had just finished making dinner.

"Oh Norman your just in time for dinner, why don't you wash up while I set the table up."

"Okay Mom."

Norman did what his mother told him, as he washed his hands the fight between Aggie and Alvin came into his head, it was unsettling, he couldn't blame Alvin for being afraid but he shouldn't have said those things, especially what he said to Aggie, that was just uncalled for.

Dinner was uneventful as they all just sat there in utter silence with the exception of the noises from their silverware. None of them could say anything as the air in the town felt very different and the fact there had been two more murders today one was Delores and a highschool boy that was in Courtney's math class, he had been found in the football field with both of his legs missing.

These murders were making Norman's family as well as other families increasingly nervous, they didn't know who's going to be next, everyone locked their doors and windows up tightly, neighbors and friends suspected one another. It was getting to the point where everyone was about to accuse one another of being the murderer.

Norman of course knew who the murderer is, but he didn't know if he should tell his family, he knew things were different now but he had a feeling that he would be pushing his limited if he told them that a shapeshifting entity that takes a form of a clown, that lived in the sewers for more than three hundred years is responsible for the killings. Yeah he's pretty sure that was the limit of believe, so he just sat there eatting his food quietly along with the rest of his family.

After dinner Norman went up to his room, he walked to the middle of the room when he started to feel strange, he felt dizzy and his room began to shake.

"What's happening?

He turned around to head out, only to find himself in that same black void from his dream. Norman looked around confused wondering why he was back in this place.

"Hello young one." That same soothing voice called out, Norman looked for the source of the voice but couldn't see anything.

"Who are you?"

"I am Maturin 12th guardian of the beams and I am here to help you to learn how to do the ritual of chud so you can defeat my ancient enemy, and hopefully you'll be the first to do so unlike those who previously tried to stop my enemy."

"Like my uncle?"

"Yes and the others."

"Others? Wait ancient enemy you know IT?"

"Yes unfortunately and I'm sure you want to Know our history, but that will have to wait as you must learn the ritual."

The dark void changes to a forest near Knob hill, "With the ritual you must use your willing to do it and most importantly believe."

In the sky Norman spotted a meteor streaking down, the meteor crashed into an area that would someday be the town square, it creates an explosion that shook the trees and spooked the animals that ran past him with no acknowledgement of him.

"My enemy arrived at your planet thousands of years ago, my enemy went into hibernation until the first people arrive."

The land shifted forward in time till it stopped to show a native American hunting party roaming around looking for something to catch, one of them holds out his hand to stop the rest of his group, he points to a bunch of shaking bushes.

The hunting party slowly approaches the bushes, the bushes shook violently when IT in the form of a wendigo bursts out of them, the wendigo roars at the frightened hunting party. Norman watch in horror as the wendigo used ITS claws to rip out parts of the hunting party's guts out, and stabbed more through the chest with its horn, suddenly an arrow hits IT's right shoulder causing IT to roar in pain. IT turns swiftly to see the last remaining member of the hunting party holding a arrow in defense, IT morphs into a giant ant as IT rushes at the remaining member, he throws the spear but it bounces off the ant's body, the ant grabs him in IT'S pinchers and chopped him in half.

"They tried to stop my enemy." Norman now finds himself in a cavern with a group of native Americans canting around a fire, out from the darkness a loud roar emerged along with the sounds of giant footsteps approaching, a sharp end of a leg stabs through one of the group members, another leg that is spider like slammed down on the fire tumbling the logs everywhere creating flashes of light everywhere, through the lights the shadows of the group where shown to be getting slaughtered by the legs.

Norman is then transported back to the black void. "They tried but didn't believe hard enough."

"Wait how am I supposed to do this ritual, if so many before hand failed?"

"Your a child so you have more of a stronger believe in these things, yours is especially strong because of your incredible ability that very few people have."

"There are more?"

"Yes all over the world there are people like you and your ghost friend, but that's not important now here's what you need to know about the ritual, you need to grab hold of my enemy's tongue and tell jokes."

Norman face switch to bewilderment, "Tell jokes?"

"Yes you see my enemy feeds on fear, if you do the opposite that will surely weaken my enemy."

"How do I grip IT'S tongue?"

"You will find out in time, but I'm afraid our time is up."

A giant flipper went up through the void, Norman holds out his hand. "Wait!" Norman was forcefully sucked out of the black void.

Norman's room came back into his vision along with Aggie who looked at him in concern, "Whoa! That was something."

"Norman are you okay?" Aggie asked as she floated up to him with her hands clamped together in front of her chest. "You were standing there in this daze for an hour."

"I was?"

"Yes I came in after I calm myself down and found you just standing here wide eyes with your mouth open. I called your name, shook you, I even may have gave you a little shock, but nothing I did do anything. I didn't know what to do I was about to get your grandma for help before you came out of it."

"Sorry for worrying you."

"It's okay, so what happened?"

"You know that dream I told you about."

Aggie nods, "I was just there and had this conversation with Maturin."

Aggie looked at Norman in question, "Who?"

"Some guardian of the beams."

"The what?"

"I don't know, but anyway he told me how to defeat IT." Norman then began to explain everything he saw to Aggie who listen with great interest.
