Lilly aimed her 'Rod' at Gammba's 'Spirit of the Harp'. The boy stood frozen in place, unable to fully grasp the reality that he was about to lose. With perfect aim, Lilly then fired her magic at the Monster and the resulting shockwave knocked Gammba off of his feet and onto the floor, rendering him unconscious.
With their Duel now over, the equipment on Lilly quickly vanished and she herself felt… odd, but only for a moment. Lilly then ran over to the cell bars.
"Aunt Bella!" Lilly cried.
"My dear Lilly!" Bella weakly reached for her niece.
"I've come to get you out." Tears ran down Lilly's face.
"So you have, and you've brought a… friend with you?" Bella asked, not sure what the relationship between the two of them was.
"He, um… I…" Lilly didn't really know either.
"You may call me Draegor. Nothing more. Nothing less." The masked man spoke. "I will give you answers, but later. This place is not ideal for conversation." He added on.
"Right, but how do we get her out?" Lilly asked worriedly.
"I can equip you with a different set of Equip Spells to raise your ATK so you will be strong enough to destroy the bars." Draegor answered.
"How… will you be able to do that?" Bella asked, short of breath. She didn't know of any easy way to achieve such a thing.
"Like so. I will equip Lilly with 'Mage Power', and not just one, but two." Draegor said as he cast the spells on Lilly. She could feel the immense power that surged through her body. Lilly felt like she could take on an entire army if she wanted.
"I… I think it worked." Lilly said with a bit of confidence.
"Yes, your ATK is now 2600." Draegor stated.
"How did you do that?" Bella questioned, stunned at the incredible power Lilly just gained.
"To keep things short, one 'Mage Power' will increase the ATK and DEF of whoever is equipped with it by 500 for each Spell and Trap I control. Having two of them, they will benefit from each other." The masked man explained. "Now Lilly, destroy the bars." He ordered.
"Right. Stand back, Aunt Bella." Lilly warned as she raised her hands towards the bars. She then began to concentrate and an orb of pure magic formed between her hands. Lilly then fired the orb right at the bars, incinerating them instantly, leaving a large hole for Bella to walk through.
"I am certain that the guards will be upon us now that we have made such a ruckus. Let us be going." Draegor turned and began to walk up the stairs that lead out.
Lilly went into the cell and aided her aunt so she could walk. "I think he's on our side." Lilly assured Bella.
"I hope so." Bella coughed.
As they reached the main level of the castle, a small group of guards stood between them and the exit.
"Halt!" One of the guards shouted. "You there!" He pointed to Draegor. "You're coming with us for attempting to steal the servants of the Light Castle." He accused the cloaked man.
"And what will you have of me should I follow?" Draegor asked with a false worry in his voice.
"If you come quietly, then we may consider lowering your punishment." The head guard declared, but the men behind him all snickered and tried to not let it be heard.
"You will? I see." Draegor sighed with relief through his solid mask, but then spoke back up to the guards. "Forgive me, but I must request something of you."
"And what is that?" The head guard asked, readying his sword.
"I wish to challenge all of you to a Duel. If I win, then you will let us go without resistance." Draegor challenged.
"Really now? And what about if we win?"
"Then we will come quietly." The masked man replied. Bella and Lilly looked to him, then to each other with worried faces.
"Are you hoping to give yourself a better chance at fighting us by forcing us to attack you one-on-one?" The head guard asked.
"No. All five of you may attack me at once." The cloaked man answered calmly.
"What? Are you saying you're a Master Duelist?" A few of the men gulped in fear at the thought.
"I do not know what you mean by that. What I am saying is that I wish to test my abilities. All I ask is that I get the first move, and I get to start with one Monster on the field." Draegor requested, sounding almost like he was begging.
"Anyone less than a Master Duelist is a fool to try and take on five warriors like us. Our superior strength will win us this fight." The men all cheered. "Do you still wish to Duel us like this?"
"Yes." Draegor answered.
