Nick's POV

After that intense Gym Battle, Misty got us to be able to cut in line for the Nurse to heal our Pokémon. Afterwards, she turns to me, Remited, and Julie. Phoenix and Melody flew off to do some training for a few minutes.

"So, I've decided to come with you guys on your journey!"

Remited walks forward.

"But what about your Gym?"

"Violet promised she would take over the responsibility of being Gym Leader. So, no need to worry!"

Julie bows, and then Phoenix returns with Melody on his back. She seems exhausted, as she is having a hard time sitting up straight on his back. When he lands, I walk up and take Melody in my arms. She passes out, and I cradle her in my arms. Remited walks up, takes a Revive Item out of his Bag, and holds it up to her heart. It shines, and then her eyes re-open. She sees us both, and smiles. The Revive fades away, and Remited puts his Bag back on his back. I set Melody down, and Phoenix walks up to her, and nuzzles her cheek. She laughs, and then she stumbles against my leg. This causes me to trip, and my Iphone 11 falls out of my pocket. Misty picks it up to hand it back to me.

"What is this?"

I take it back, and answer.

"On Earth, it's called an Iphone 11. It can do many things, like take and save photos and videos, talk to people all over the planet, and even download things called 'apps,' which can be games or other stuff."

Remited looks intrigued.

"Really? Can you try calling someone?"

I look at him.

"I'm sorry, but I need something called 'cell service' to use that feature. And since I'm in a different universe from my normal one, there is no cell service."

Remited sighs.

"Ok."

Misty then speaks up.

"I know someone who loves inventing. He's no Professor, but he is a genius! Maybe we can get him to modify your Iphone 11."

I nod.

"That sounds like a good idea! But, where is he?"

"He lives in a Sea Cottage on Route 25."

"Well then let's go!"

I run off.

Remited's POV

"Nick wait up!"

He stops at the entrance to Route 24. He turns around, and, realizing how he was impulsive again, looks away sheepishly.

"S-sorry, I got too excited again."

"It's ok, Nick. But we should really stick together. Who knows if Team Rocket is laying in wait to try yet again to capture Melody?"

At the mention of that, he looks even more ashamed of himself.

"Sorry Melody for potentially putting you in danger..."

She runs up to him and hugs his legs. He laughs.

"Ok, at least you aren't mad about me rushing ahead. I'll seriously try to stop that."

Misty walks in front of us, and she turns to face us.

"I...will lead! Come on!"

She turns, and sets off down Route 24. Nick, Julie, and I follow suite. We come across an Ace Trainer. He challenges Nick to a battle. They get ready for the fight, and he introduces himself.

"I'm Ace Trainer Michael!"

"I'm Nick!"

They shake hands, and then they walk back ten paces. Nick sends out Charmy, while Michael sends out a Larvitar. I step between them.

"Let the battle begin!"

"Charmy, use Scratch to start!"

The orange Pokémon rushes towards the Ground-type with her claws. Larvitar tries to dodge, but is too slow. It gets badly hurt. Michael has an idea.

"Larvitar! Use Rock Blast!"

The Pokemon blasts rocks from its mouth. A few hit Charmy in the face, dealing massive damage. Nick, out of concern for her safety, recalls Charmy. He sends out Sally, and the battle is back on!

"Sally, use Double Kick!"

She rushes Larvitar and kicks its face twice. It faints, and Michael laughs.

"Nice battle! I had a strategy for the battle, but didn't get to use it! Heh, you're pretty good!"

He hands Nick some Prize Money, and walks to Cerulean. Misty congratulates Nick on his win, and we continue to Route 25. We pass through the remainder of Route 24, and head into Route 25. Then, Misty points us to a building near an entrance to an ocean. We speed over to said building, and Misty speaks again.

"This is the home of Bill. He works on many inventions, like the Pokémon Storage System, or PSS."

"Ohhhh, I see."

Remited walks up the steps and knocks on the door. A brown-haired young man wearing a smart blue shirt opens it.

"Who are you?"

"My name is-"

The young man walks down the stairs when he spots Misty.

"Misty! My friend!"

"Bill!"

"Who are these two? And...does that Trainer have Moltres, and the Unovan Mythic Meloetta?"

Nick laughs, and introduces Phoenix and Melody. Bill then turns back to Misty, and has a questioning look on his face. Misty laughs and explains.

"They challenged my Gym and won."

"Ah, I see. Well, come on in to my Sea Cottage!"

We all step inside.

Misty's Perspective

As we enter the Cottage, Bill takes us to the back. I can tell he is just itching to show off his latest invention.

"Take a look!"

We see two giant metal cylindrical containers with glass exteriors. They are connected by a set of metal tubes. Bill walks in front of us and turns to face us.

"Introducing my latest invention...I call it... The Pokémon-TrainerBody Switcher! Or P-TBS for short!"

He is clearly proud of it, so I ask him what it does.

"Glad you asked, Misty. It allows one to switch bodies with their Pokémon. That means, a Trainer will be able to experience what life is like for their Pokémon, and vice versa!"

I then try to calm him down, as I can tell he is getting too excited.

"That's great, however, we came here for something else. Nick, here, doesn't hail from here. He has a device called an Iphone 11."

"Wait, what? What do you mean by, 'doesn't hail from here'?"

I look at Nick, and he lapses into an explanation of everything that he briefly told me back at the Center. Bill looks astonished. Then, Nick pulls out his Iphone 11 and hands it to him. Bill examines it.

"Hmmm, I probably cannot turn on the call feature, as it would involve trying to get your Iphone 11 connected to your universe from ours. But, I can probably do SOMETHING with it. I won't tamper with it TOO much, as I don't want to accidentally break it. So, how about you leave it with me for a few days, and come back."

Nick thinks it over for a minute, and then thumbs up Bill. Bill pockets Nick's Iphone 11, then walks over to the right of his P-TBS, and pulls out a remote before pushing a button on it. A door in each glass container opens. Bill looks to Nick, before beckoning him into the machine. Nick enters the container on the right, and Melody flies into the one on the left. Bill pushes another button on his remote, and the machine starts lighting up. I see Nick and Melody both close their eyes as the light becomes blinding. Then, the machine starts shaking, and Melody starts to scream. Nick starts shouting as well.

"Stay calm, you two, or else it won't work!"

Bill, despite sounding so calm, has a worried expression on his face. Then, the connecting tubes start flashing brightly, and the machine then starts doing something weird.

"GET OUT OF HERE! IT'S GONNA EXPLOOODEEEE!"

We run out of the Sea Cottage, and hear a loud boom with the sound of glass shattering as the machine explodes and blows out the windows. Smoke fills the air.

"A FIRE HAS STARTED! A FIRE HAS STAAAARTE-E-ED!"

Remited sends out Zenny, who promptly uses a Water Pulse to try to put out the fire. I see it is spreading quickly, and send out Starmie to use Hydro Pump to help finishing putting it out. Then, Remited takes off, and Julie, Bill, and I rush after him.

"NICK?! MELODY?!"

We rush to the back of the Cottage, and see them both unconscious on the floor. Melody and Nick both have burns and cuts all over their bodies. Remited runs up to Nick, and sits down on his knees.

"Nick? Are you alright?'

He opens his eyes slowly. Remited helps him sit up, but we are all shocked when it is Melody's voice who speaks.

"Wha-what happened?"

"Melody?!"

"Y-yes...?"

She then looks down, and sees Nick's body.

"Wait! I'm...I'm in Nick's body!"

Bill is overjoyed.

"My machine worked! Not quite as planned, but it still worked!"

"So, what happened?"

"Melody...the machine, kinda...blew up."

"What?! Where's Nick?!"

Remited walks over to Melody's old body, and holds up a Revive. It shines, and fades away. The Meloetta opens its eyes, and sits up before looking around. It jumps back form seeing Nick's old body.

"Wait...is that, me?"

"Nick?"

"Melody?"

"I'm...I'm in your body, Nick. And you are in mine."

"Wow..."

Nick starts walking, and stumbles, as not only is he having to get used to walking with a new body, he is also limping. Melody is as well.

"What are gonna do?"

Remited turns to Bill.

"Can you switch them back into their proper bodies?"

Bill slowly nods.

"I have a prototype version of the P-TBS. That MIGHT work. But, it doesn't have any power."

Julie walks up.

"How do we power it?"

"We will need 5 Moon Stones, which are uncommon, 2 Meteorites, and 1 Comet Shard."

Remited is incredulous.

"WHAT?!"

He runs up to Bill and grabs him by his shirt collar.

"YOU SWITCH MY FRIEND'S BODY BACK WITH HIS POKÉMON'S RIGHT NOW!"

I gently pull him back.

"Remited, he's telling the truth. I've never known Bill to lie. He wouldn't start now. Let him go."

Remited listens and does. He looks back to his friend and Melody, who are trying to get used to their new bodies. Nick manages, by concentrating very hard, to float a few centimeters off the ground. Melody is trying to get used to being unable to use any of her moves or Psychic powers. Then, as I approach them, they both quickly turn their heads to look at me.

"So there is a way for us to switch back?"

Bill walks up and nods to Nick.

"That's good. Well, then, if we need to get anything, let's go!"
