When the nurse guided them to the room where the blood transfusion was going to take place, she held her hand up for Jared to stop.

"I'm sorry sir this is as far as you can go but if you wait in the ICU lobby, I will come get you when I'm done."

Jared heard his wolf whine from within.

"ill be ok Jared. Go see your family. just be careful and watch your thoughts." Bella told him as she paled at the sight of the long needle.

Jared gave her hand a squeeze and backed out of the room. Leaning against the wall, Jared closed his eyes for just a second. He needed to process everything. Charlie was in the hospital and so was his little sister raven, whom he hadn't seen in basically two weeks. Well his mother had kicked him out once he phased thinking all the time, he was spending away from the family was due to him selling drugs and being in a gang, of course, Jared didn't do anything to change her mind. He let her think that, his whole family not including his father. The last time he saw his father he had written out a large check and told him that he knew Jared phased. And now raven was in the hospital. His little sister. Out of all of his sibling's raven was his favorite because no matter what was going on, she wouldn't shun him. Of course, with everything going on Jared didn't get the time to spend with her not that his mother would let him, she had fully banned him from the home and any further contact with his siblings. With that sigh, Jared used his wolf senses to find his sister.

Carlisle Cullen couldn't believe his eyes as he watched his son's fiancé and future daughter in law so close to the strange and unknown boy. And to see them both walk back to the ICU was alarming. No wonder Edward was so worried. Was this the same boy who was in the kitchen with Charlie swan. From his scent, he was definitely a wolf.

It was then he saw Sam Uley approach him cautiously flanked by two other wolves.

Before the alpha wolf could speak, a shout of Carlisle's name was heard.

Carlisle immediately turned to see a concerned-looking Alice, jasper, and Edward.

"what was your wolf doing with my wife!" Edward hissed as he approached Sam Uley. "you're breaking your end of the treaty!"

"She isn't your wife! Leech! And we are not breaking the treaty! one of our people is in the hospital and could possibly be dying! I thought you would know that with that dumb ass mind reading you do!" Jacob black hissed

Edward opened his mouth to say something but Carlisle stopped him saying "Excuse me this is a hospital and there is a family obviously in distress. So, I suggest everyone mind their voices or I will be forced to kick you out."

With that said Sam Uley spoke up with agitation in his voice.

"I assure you we not breaking the treaty, We have one of our own in the hospital and we are simply checking up on her. She is related to one of our wolves. Obviously the one you saw walking with…Bella swan."

Edward hissed as he processed the thoughts of everyone in the room.

"why was he touching her like that?! and what does a broken imprint have to do with all this? Sam Uley you need to keep those mutts under control. How do you just let a lone and soul shattered wolf wander alone like that!? Did you know he's been in forks…this Jared person!?" Edward asked

Sam's eyes went wide.

"what? What are you talking about?"

"he was talking to Charlie swan at 3 am this morning...why would..." Edward stopped talking as he listened to Sam's thoughts.

Edward's shoulders instantly relaxed.

".. I see. So this is all one big misunderstanding."

He then turned to his father and said "Jared is suffering from a broken imprint. it's like our mating bond, she has recently left him which has caused him to be mentally unstable. Unfortunately, the pack gives off the scent of his mate which makes him more emotionally unstable. It seems Jared has been staying off the grid and is unaware of our updated terms. Samuel will handle him. and I apologize for my outburst. I hope Jared's sister gets better, just please remind him to stay out of forks and to refrain from communicating with my wife. now if you excuse us, we have to find out about Charlie swan."

Emily helped Teresa calm down as she wouldn't stop crying. Teresa was Jared's mom and normally she would be pissed to see her or Sam especially since she thought Jared was apart of Sam's drug-selling gang. However, Emily was able to convince her otherwise well at least that Sam and the rest of the boys weren't drug dealers nor selling them she still believed Jared was involved in some kind of drug trafficking though.

"Ms. Cameron it will be ok. I'm sure the doctors are working on raven now. have you called your husband?"

Teresa wiped her tears and sneered "there's no way I'm calling that bastard. He should have been here in the first place."

"you told him to leave! You wanted the divorce! "an angry voice yelled from across the room.

All eyes turned to see an angry Julie standing up while Billy black ushered her to lower her voice. Julie was the second youngest daughter in the Cameron family and the one with the most attitude.

"Julie this is not the time." her mother hissed as she stood up.

Sam, Paul, and Jacob walked over to see what the commotion was.

"Sam what did dr. Cullen say?" Billy black asked loudly trying to diffuse and interrupt the brewing fight.

"it's never the time mom!" Julie snapped as she stood up as well.

"mom, Julie we are in a hospital. Were here for raven. So let's just sit down." Shelia said

"no! I am not sitting down! Its mom's fault that dad left! And now Raven's in the hospital and all mom can say is that she's not going to call dad! He deserves to be here! What if raven dies!"

"your sister is not going to die, Julie!" Teresa shouted as she began to walk over to her.

"what the hell is going on?! Teresa where's raven!?" a familiar voice shouted

Teresa turned and gasped when she saw her soon to be ex-husband standing there.

"Bruce dammit what are you doing here!? Why are you here!"

"Why am I here!? Why am I here? I here for my daughter! You selfish wench!" Bruce yelled

"everyone we are in a hospital! We need to lower our voices and control ourselves!" Billy black chided as he rolled between the yelling couple.

Bruce Cameron immediately felt ashamed for his chief to have to witness such behavior.

"my apologies chief black. But is there any word on raven any updates? What happened? All Shelia told me what that raven was in the hospital."

"Shelia called you?" Teresa hissed as she looked back towards her eldest daughter.

"yes, I called him mom. Now let it go. I'm going to go ask the nurse for an update. "

"don't disrespect me, girl!" Teresa exclaimed.

"I'm- "

"Cameron family?" a doctor called

All voices went silent as the Cameron family gave the doctor their attention.

"my name is doctor shoe. Your daughter was involved in a shoot out today and only suffered minor injuries. She has a broken leg and a flesh wound on her shoulder. Your daughter is very lucky that the chief of police was there. He saved her life. if He hadn't been their he'd be dead. So, your daughter should be able to leave in a few days. We just want to keep her to make sure nothing else is wrong. Ill have a nurse escort you."

Jared held raven's hand as the nurse adjusted her I.V.

"..Why don't you just come home jar?" she asked

"..I'm sorry Rae. I can't…besides...I have a new job now."

"what a new brand of cocaine." Raven sneered, winching when she moved her shoulder.

"hey take it easy. Your not supposed to be moving."

Jared warned as he stood to adjust her pillow.

"and no. it's a legit job. But look, I love you Rae. I gotta get out of here before mom sees me. We both know she would have a fit. Heres my phone number you can call me anytime."

Raven looked at her brother suspiciously .

"where are you staying Jared? Because Grandma and grandpa's house has been empty for a while. I checked it out."

"don't worry about that raven. I have to go. I'll come back tonight and stay with you ok?" he told her

"how? They won't let you in?"

Jared smiled and said "I know some people"
